    "DIRTY DIAMONDS" REVIEW: After listening to "Dirty Diamonds" several times over, I can honestly say, it only gets better with every listen. "Dirty Diamonds" - though far from original - is a throwback to the sound of the Alice Cooper Group. However, the entertaining opening track ("Woman of Mass Distraction") does have apparent nods to both the Rolling Stones and AC/DC. While the title track, "Dirty Diamonds," owes more than a little to Black Sabbath's classic tune "Paranoid". It should also be noted that the witty hard rock track "Steal That Car" is certainly reminiscent of the music stylings of the classic KISS sound. So while "Dirty Diamonds" is not anything "new", it is easily Coop's best album since 1994's "The Last Temptation". However, with that said, "Dirty Diamonds" is a musically diverse album with many standout tunes, such as; "Perfect," "Sunset Babies (All Have Rabies)," "Steal That Car," "Run Down The Devil," and "Zombie Dance". THE BAND: Vocals, Harmonica - Alice Cooper Guitar, Vocals - Ryan Roxie Guitars, Bass (on Perfect), vocals - Damon Johnson Bass, Guitar (on Dirty Diamonds)- Chuck Garric Drums, vocals- Tommy Clufetos INTERESTING FACTS: 1. Released on August 2nd 2005, "Dirty Diamonds" would peak at #169 on the Billboard Top 200. 2. "Dirty Diamonds" has managed to be Alice's highest U.S. chart placing in 11 years - since 1994's "The Last Temptation" which peaked at #68. 3. The Japan, Australia and New Zealand versions of the album include a bonus track called "The Sharpest Pain". PACKAGING: Typical Alice album cover, though it does feature some cool pics, as well as all the lyrics, in the booklet. APPROX. RUNNING TIME: 46 min. and 48 sec. FINAL ANALYSIS: For anyone who enjoyed (or 'loved,' as in my case) Alice's work in the 70s but want something new - this would be one of the best places to start. "Dirty Diamonds" is far superior than his last effort "The Eyes of Alice Cooper". **** out of 5.

    The last Album "The Eyes Of Alice Cooper" Came out 22 september 2003 (30 sept. U.S.A.) He went back to the roots, real Hard Rock with a good band who play almost everything live on tape in the studio. This gives a real muscle rock album. The guest apparence of the MC5-guitiar player Wayne Kramer "Detroit City" sets the key and songs like "What Do You Want From Me" and "Between Old School & High School" are Rockhard, you can even say that the song "Man Of The Year" is sort of punk. The album not only rocks but the songs "Be With You Awhile" en "The Song That Didn't Rhyme" are two of the best ballads he made in the past 20 years. With the album "The Eyes Of Alice Cooper" he didn't only put himself back on the map but he also put the hole hardrock scene back on it's feet. This is not only a very good album it's a real masterpeace by the master himself. Alice X

    I have been a fan for 30+ years and Alice has never once let me down. He is a Master at singing, song writing and most of all-performing. Alice is musically better and more theatrically energetic than some of the newer bands out today. I always did and always will LOVE Alice! Can't wait to hear and see "The Eyes of Alice Cooper". Love you forever Alice - see you in Atlantic City!!!

    Posted by Magnem63(Joe W.):
    Alice Cooper, what do you say about him. He is a really good singer and an awesome stage performer. His music is the bomb and his music and actions and make-up made way for many bands such as Kiss, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Motley Crue, Elton John, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, Poison, the Ramones, Twisted Sister, Megadeath, Madonna, W.A.S.P., the Rolling Stones, Rob Zombie, and Ozzy Osbourne. In turn, Alice is one of the coolest if not the coolest rockers on the face of this earth, on the inside, and in dragon town.

    are you going to be at ozzfest this year

    Posted by kevin:
    I've been a cooper fan since he started playing high schools. And I have never come accross an artist that can write a rock opera such as cooper. Every album is based on a theme. I believe alice realized his affect on the teenagers of his early years and tried to address our angst, with his albums such as "Alice cooper goes to hell" and "welcome to my nightmare" these two titles are more, I think a response to his role as a superstar and role model than say "Schools out" not to say Schools out wasn't great, to sum it up I've been listening to Alice for 25 years and I never tire of him.

    I recently saw Alice Cooper in concert--on the last leg of the 2001 portion of his "Descent Into Dragontown" Tour. I must say, for someone in his fifties, he could have fooled me! The show was heavier than Megadeth, and Alice's energy from start to finish was remarkably high. Very theatrical, sound quality was great, the lighting was cool, and the fog and assorted effects (and props) just right. He has such charisma that he owned the venue from the first word sung, and almost completely erased from memory the opening act. To simply say he is a genius at songwriting or showmanship is to underrate him. If you have a chance to see him in concert, GO SEE HIM! Don't miss it; and, by all means, don't forget to pick up the coolest CD in rock/metal this year, "Dragontown".

    having just returned from the Cooper show in Denver, I can say this was a great show. Coop and the band sounded excellent. The post concert party at Cooperstown was also a good time. To bad Alice has still not signed my arm.

    Alice is the best. His voice hasn't changed from Welcome to My Nightmare to Brutal Planet. Brutal Planet is by far one of his best albums. I'm fourteen years old, and when Alice cam out, I was still sperm. But Alice Cooper, hands down, is one of the greatest artists of all time.

    Alice's latest, Brutal Planet, could be his best work ever.From the titls song on Alice uses a hammer and chisel and pounds out "GUILTY" across our collective foreheads.

    SOURCHUX
    Uh, Hello? Don't you think Alice is a little old to be "thrash"?
