I love this f*ckin band. my favorite song would have to be, "I Will Survive"....great song! i think that everyone should listen to their music....they're f*ckin awsome! and that dude who wrote that sh*t about them should burn in hell! he has no idea what the f*uck he's talkin' about! I have to say that Cake is one of the most imaginative and creative bands i've ever heard. in a culture where credibility is so rapidly exchanged for money, they have not only stood their ground, but also put to shame those who haven't. john mc crea is such and insanely talented lyricist that his perfect sarcasm slices through egos without almost anyone even realizing it. they're way up there next to vonnegut on my list.

I don't even like Cake all that much, but I do find them fun to listen to. I will survive is one of the best covers i've ever heard. for a band, especially with a male lead singer to remake that song is a ballsy thing to do. And they have had other singles that have done well, such as "going the distance" and "you turn the screws," but then again, i'll bet you didn't much listen to em anyway Nigel.

Nigel is a complete idiot who clearly knows f*ck all. They covered I will Survive for a laugh at a gig and they had thousands of letters from fans of a varied age (including myself) pleading them to release it or at least make it a b-side and they did out of the kindness of their hearts. Cake have had three number one, triple platinum+ selling albums and over 10 singles all within the top 20 - So Nigel, go to hell and shove your head up your backside because believe me, you are in the minority and that is not a nice place to be.
