AFI is the best band ever. I love all of their albums. AFI has said that they don't like to write the same album or song twice. Each of their albums are more mature than the last and Sing The Sorrow is their most mature yet. Davey's vocals and lyrics are amazing and Jade is an awesome guitarist and song writer. Hunter and Adam are awesome too. When I saw them live it was the best concert ever!

AFI Rules. The older the stuff the better, but it all rules, if you actually listen to anything but art of drowning or sing the sorrow, like if you have all the cd's you can see how much the band has changed over the years..and NOT just recently. Although the sudden change for Sing the Sorrow kind of threw me off..I hate the radio..girls not grey and silver and cold..I skip right by that stuff when I listen to sing the sorrow..and no goth punk doesnt exist AFI CAN NOT BE PUT INTO A CLASSIFICATION OF MUSIC BECAUSE IT'S EAST BAY HARDCORE BIA!

I agree that AFI is not the most heavy metal band, but come on! They are my favorite, and they are god-awesome. A lot better than some heavy metal bands that scream their lungs out and think they have to dress goth ALL the time. AFI is genuine and you won't hear anyone out there similar to them.

AFI....worst band out there. The singer has the worst voice in existence, like listening to an 8-year-old girl. The goth punk image is immensely stupid, I walk around school and see all the little freshman girls dressed up like goths because they think AFI is "like so totally DARK" and other crap . AFI is just another corporate pop group, like Green Day, Backstreet Boys, and Simple Plan. They won't be around in 5 years. Long live metal!

Although i feel Black Sails in the Sunset is the best album, i actuall enjoy every album they have made. From SO Proud of Ya to Sing the Sorrow. They all have a different sound to a certain extent which i like all of them depending on the kind of mood i am in. Some people hate them for the fact that their albums don't all have the same kind of sound but i like a bit of variety cuz i think they pull it pretty good.

shut up! just because their new album isnt as lyrically complex as their older stuff doesnt make it any less good. I agree that art of drowning is best album but sing the sorrow is also quite good. a lot of people agree with me on this one irregardless of what the minority think.

For any of you who doubt AFI's new album, Sing the Sorrow-- give it another listen, for starters. I was taken by it the first time I listened to it. I admit, i like the darker goth-punk sound that they have turned in to, more than their earlier hardcore days. If you are still doubting their new album, try and give a listen to the two songs realeased only on the vinyl version, and the new song on the special edition. All three of these (Reivers' Music, And Now the World, Synesthesia, and This Time Imperfect) are probably better than the rest of the album. But still, I think that the album is incomplete without them.

I think A.F.I is a really good band. But i dont really even think the new album is even that good. its pretty good. but its nothing compared to the old albums like black sails in the sunset...whenever i see reviews for the new album they are incredibly good, but ther reason why is because the person that made the review has never heard any of the older albums. i saw them in concert in the avalon last night in boston and it was pretty cool. except the fact that nearly every song they played was ether from art of drowning or sing the sorrow. i was quite disapointed. i really dislike some of there following too. practicly everyone that was at that concert has only heard art of drowning and sing the sorrow. personally, i think that art of drowning and sing the sorrow are just fairy music. i must say, i dont mind bands selling out, but i do mind when they change there sound to attract more fans. A.F.I did this. and it really pisses me off. I have been a fan of A.F.I since the days of Shut your mouth and open your eyes back in 1997 and i dont really like what A.F.I has turned into to. Many of A.F.I's original fans feel the same way i do. i hate seeing a bunch of losers going around saying they love A.F.I when they have only heard sing the sorrow. I would much rather see A.F.I in concert back in 1999 and before rather then see them now.
