Bitter is a four piece band from Toronto Canada.
Formed 4 years ago by frontman/percussionist Kim
Lombard, they have been touring constantly except
for one week when they came off the road to shower.
The band has been playing so much they actually
forgot to record a CD. After some woodshedding to
fine tune the toonz, an 11 song disc called 'Bitter' was
finally completed.
The lyrics are a ripping social commentary that tear
firmly into your cranium. The biting sarcasm would
have most people running for a psychiatrist's couch.
Musically, the grooves and rhythms transfix you in a
hypnotic state. If you like recreational explosives...
you'll love Bitter.
The CD was rehearsed, recorded, mixed and
mastered at 11 different facilities by producer Richard
Chycki (heretofore known as Rich the Magician
Copperfield). Rich is known for his work with such
notables as , 'The Jeff Healey Band', 'The Four
Horsemen', 'Our Lady Peace' and Steven Seagal's
'The Glimmerman' soundtrack to name a few. Mixed at
Arnold Lanni's Arnyard Studio, the results are
outstanding.
"Intense is the strongest word we could think of to
describe this recording," says Lombard, while putting
the safety pins in his landmine collection. We've all
been kicking around for a while and the name 'Bitter'
just about sums it up for us. We just loved the idea of
walking up on stage and saying "Good evening. We're
Bitter!" There is a definite humorous side to this band.
With song titles like 'Camping at ground Zero',
'Worship Device' and 'Hung' the band obviously
doesn't take itself too seriously.
Bitter -- it's been a long time coming but well worth the
wait!
