Every Sabbath album is of high quality- even the 80s revolving door lineups. Yes, even "Black Sabbath Featuring Tony Iommi: Seventh Star", which was supposed to be solo Iommi right up until its release, stands up. I f Deep Purple, 9 Inch Nails, and Megadeth can change lineups and retain credibility, why not Sabbath? If you like Sabbath, do yourself a favor and check out Born Again, Seventh Star, TYR, or especially Headless Cross. Ozzy was just one of many great singers that this great band had.

Sabbath, with Ozzy, was my favorite era.
No disrespect to the other singers who fronted Sabbath. I just grew up in the Ozzy era.
Lets see the birth of Sabbath.....Three incredible musicians join forces with an electrifying and charismatic vocalist named Ozzy and history was made! 8 albums were to follow and 6 of them are masterpieces in my personal opinion. They are: Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master of Reality, Volume 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, and Sabatoge. I also have Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die. Sab's tuned down gutiar and bass sound was totally different from anything being played during that time. It sounded really dark and heavy. When mixed with Geezer's lyrics and brought to life with Ozzy's vocals it blew me away! Ozzy's voice rocks, you can feel the power and emotion in Symptom of the Universe and the Writ. Man, it's poetry.

I can imagine my uncle went to see black Sabbath on there first tour. He told me the next time they return I should go see them. I wish, but how i wish i can just afford them tickets. I'm gonna ask for a job

Black Sabbth combinded the elements of jazz and heavy metal. They're calm beats and dark lyrics make them a unike band, my fsvorite band. My favorite song is Paranoid

Sabbath rocks, seriously. Sabbath inspired me to pick up a guitar and start playing...Their music is incredible, Iron Man, Paranoid, and Children of the Grave have to be their best songs ever =)

Black Sabbath is one of those bands that's truly timeless. They're music is as true now as it was 30 years ago. Anybody who says doesn't recognize Sabbath as the originators of metal shall burn in everlasting hell! The Downsyde has spoken.

I have admired Ozzy Osbiurne since I first heard his solo album in 1980. In the last couple of years I have come to admire the man behind Ozzy Osbourne. I mean of course John Osbourne. What hes done in his off stage life means as much to me as his albums do. It's good to have a musician you can like not only for the music they create but also for who they really are. These days there are a lot of acts out there who make good music but are total f**k ups.

The first 5 albums with Ozzy and Heaven and Hell are all masterpieces. Iwould have to rate Sabbath Bloody Sabbath as my favorite. It is by far thier funkiest. Right behind that Volume 4 is the most expansive.
And if you liked Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules then do not miss out on Dehumaniser, it is very underrated. Rock on all Sabbath fans!!!

Black Sabbath has the best rock sound in existence. Three instruments to make one ultimate sound with vocals screaming out on top of the HEAVIEST music this planet has seen yet. Nothing will ever compare to what Black Sabbath has done in my book -they are the GODS OF HEAVY ROCK-

As an educator: this band epitomises creative writing skills.I've taught elements of the short story&poetry using exerpts of Sabbath material and have had fantastic results.I cannot use any present day artists as they are illiterates by comparison
with the musical & literary depth of Black Sabbath.P.S I am originally from Trinidad,West Indies and used Sabbath material for
O'level(British system)exams.

Geezer Butler is the greatest bassist of all-time. Ozzy-Black Sabbath is classic, but Ronnie James Dio-Sabbath is very underrated. "Heaven and Hell" is the best Sabbath album, top to bottom.
