counting crows this the best! omg like they are really good!!!! *Sighs* i can't get enough of them i read some of adam duritz's messages at www.adam.countingcrows.com and i like to read the things he says and the things happening in his life and how he feels about the music business and other stuff. I think he is right about how some of u guys judge him but don't even know him and u expect that things u hear from other people are true. I don't want to be like annoying or anything but i'm just saying that, well some of you guys should just mind your own business. Say what you want its a free country but just don't spread out rumors about things that aren't true. Anyways, their really good and I found their band by listening to my i-pod which used to be my sisters so I didn't know ANY songs on it. There were about 1,315 songs so I just looked for good titles and listen to them but I also listen to the rest, but after I experiment on the ones i think are good. ANYWAYS, I fell asleep while listening and I woke up finding myself listening to "Big Yellow Taxi" and I was like "wow this is a really good song" so i looked up the artist and the i-pod had like 20 songs they sang and i was really happy. :) anways i like their music. You have really good poetic lyrics Adam Duritz. Does anyone know any other message boards that Adam responds to? If you do, please post the link. Thanks :D well i g2g Bye ~cd

i was first introduced to the Counting Crows while watching a ski documentary by Warren Miller. i heard the song "A Long December" and fell in love with it. When the movie was over I looked the song up to get the artist and immedietly went to a record store and bought "Recovering the Sattelites" and along with it i bought "August and Everything After". My orriginal love for them was fueled by my love for skiing because there music reminded me of the hippyish lifestyle that the winter instills in me, but now that I have become more famillier with the band and their records i level with their music on a much greater scale than that. A lot of people these days say they listen to EMO punk bands becuaes "this band understands my pain", but i listen to the Counting Crows because i understand their pain. Adam Duritz sings about the things i can't sing about, and for that reason i have great respect for him and the rest of the band.

I will express my thanks to the counting crows by giving you a list of my top 5 favorite bands #5 Wilco-A Special blend of poetic lyrics and a very casual musical aspect!(I like them more when im high, and I like them a lot sober)#4 Dave matthews band- Unbelievable musical Talent plus a lot of soul in the presentation, I must admit they dropped a few spots in my "Top 5 favorite bands list" due to Everyday and maybe 1 more due to Busted Stuff, but we will blame that on Steve Lillywhite! Which takes us to #3 Ryan Adams-Ryan Adams A lovely song writer, with a kick ass attitude! Very funny in most of his interviews, and an all around great entertainer live and on the radio! (singer songwriters making a comeback? what my niggaz what what? take your britany spear posture and give it to someone who can't get a date!(because thats all she is good for) I'm not saying I like Ryan Adams because I think he has the potential to overthrow the pop want to be Diva(who decides who is a Diva now days?) But it makes me like him that much more!(Remember everyone the sooner britany spears dies out the sooner she will have to accept whatever ungodly amount of cash hew heffner is offering! So anyway on to #2 Radiohead-Ambient, beautiful, I could sit here and fill the screen with good things about this band, but im sure you are ready for me to tell you why the counting crows are and will continue to be number 1 on my list! 1. Adam duritz has dread-locks, he is a smooth criminal, and he cannot stop writing the most amazingly poetic songs and forcing me to listen to them, although the evil Steve Lillywhite had his nasty paws on the brilliant Duritz, I think Adam overcame lillywhites attemps to make counting crows suck! How in the hell can they possibly suck with an accordion? If I were in an older band watching these younger bands climb the mountain of media criticism! I would take pleasure in the counting crows covering my songs! Not only can adam transform his poetry into poetry with poetic music as a bonus, but he can also take someone elses song and give it the attention, and notice it obviously deserves! If adam likes a song enough to cover it, its probably an amazing song!(Id like to give a shout out to Bruce Springsteen for letting counting crows redo "Thunder Road" one hell of a guy Bruce! So anyway there you have it my "top 5 favorite bands" list!

To understand who andwhat the coutning crows are is to understand sorrow and depression mixed in with those lovable dread-locks of frontman Adam Duritz. Rock on!

After losing my only son to drug addiction I was for some reason pretty much "lead" to the music store and picked out Live Across the Wire. When I took it home and listened to it all I could hear in the songs was my son's life. My love for him and how much we wish we were still together. I am a fan for life. www.angelsofaddiction.com
