deasiL is a band that was founded in may 1998 from
members of Bat Guano and Mayze.
Mayze was an alternative rockband with grunge
influences and were reasonably successful. With a
few radio broadcasts and a television performance
they were on there way to infinite glory, but internal
struggles ended it all and by june 1997 the group fell
apart. The bassplayer(Joris)decided to join the band
BBat Guano a month later.
Bat Guano was an alternative rock band in which the
violin played an important role. They were happily on
there way to stardom when their bassplayer decided
to quit. Yes allright you guest it, this is when Joris
joined the band. After a few month's the musical
direction Bat Guano took wasn't to the liking of the
violin player and thus deasiL came to be.
deasiL has three members: Barbara Koedooder on
Drums, Martijn Groen Vocals and Guitar, Joris van
Caspel Bass and Backing vocals.
deasiL plays a kind of rockmusic that is yet to be
defined. Great fluctuations in tempo and volume are
the trademarks of the band. They play a blend of
styles that could easily upset the world of rockmusic
as we know it today.
