Deep Purple-When they rock they rock, and when they roll they roll!

Posted by ROCKETMAN:
Oh and one more think. Depp purple rules, even though I've only heard 2 songs from them. "Smoke on the water" and "Highway Star".

Posted by ROCKETMAN:
Guy's I've been playing keyboard for 2 years and I've taken piano lessons for 1 year right now and, what I'm saying is, did you guys here the song Highway Star, did you here the orgin solo. To me, it's unbaleavible, It's gonna take me years to learn that, but i want to learn it now, but if i play it fast my fingers get tired. I'll just practice and practice and practice and then maybe I could become a keyboard shredder.

Whoever this "Guardian of the Ivory Gate" character is, I'm sure she is an idiot. She thinks Britney Spears is a great musician. That just proves she doesn't know what she is talking about, and has no right to tear down the music other people listen to, especially a talented band like this.

Posted by Ezra Haim - Israel:
well, the best ever - band in the world - what can we say ... dam great music - just superb no one els make me shiver like this ultra extra rockers. a leason to anyone that try to make ROCK'N'ROLL !

Posted by Greg:
What kind of name is Guardian of the Ivory Gate? Are you a washroom attendant?

Posted by Superrobotomonkey:
This one goes out to Guardian of the Ivory Gate. You are an idiot. The world would be a better place without you complaining.

You lot bite Dick, Britney better than Deep Purple. Ritchie Blackmore an awful guitarist. How anyone can argue these two points amazes me. Deep Purple weren't the best, but they are my favourite. Why. Because Blackmore could play, Jon Lord could play, Glover could play and Ian Gillan could really sing. The fact that there meaningless lyrics and wierd style could still sound not only good, but amazing, is evidence in itself that they were one of the best ever bands, and will be remembered forever, unlike Britney Spears.

Deep Purple Rocks... sorry guys...We all came out to Montreux.. what does that mean ? some peoples kids

Deep Purple don't suck as much as other bands (Lead Zepellin) comes to mind, since at least they spell their name right. The songs, however, are both dull and simplistically contrived. Not good simple stuff like Britney or other great musicians, but crappy simple stuff. Their lyrics stink to match, as most of them are retarded, sexually suggestive, and stupid. I agree with the fellow down below, Smoke On The Water is one of the lamest, most overrated songs in the world. And Ritchie Blackmore does suck, but surprisingly Rainbow does not suck very much; that was before he got fat and became a pedophile.

crix
well Ive just come back from the first Deep Purple concert for 2001 in Perth Australia and what can I say but "Bugger me with a garden hose"...I was pretty impressed, I had my doubts about axeman steve morse, whether he could fill some pretty big shoes, but he did it immaculaty, the play list was a dream, with all the old classics coming out ...highway star, speed king, hush, perfect strangers, no one came, to name a few, let me just say that all you eastern state aussies are in for a treat..
