My wife and I were excited about seeing the Doobie Brothers in concert on 10/23/03, at the Warner Theater in Torrinton, CT. We grew up listening to their music and we are both 50ish. We had seats about 2/3 of the way back in the Theater. The sound was so disappointing, it was way too loud, we couldn't understand any lyrics because of the distortion. The sax was mind numbing shrill, the guiters were all muddled, the drums gave us an excedrin headache. I should have been forwarned when I first saw the setup... 3 sets of drums, why 3 sets for a band with roots like the Doobies?? Especially when everything was so amped up. Anyway, just sharing our experiences. Sorrow for the bad news.
