FF is one heavy band all their albums are loud and awesome I think the best is Archetype

Posted by ConceivedSoViolently:
Fear Factory's music is expressively human in a way that is almost paradoxical; it is so mechanical and precise on one side, with Raymond's flawless machine-gun bass drumming and Dino/Christian's guitars layered perfectly on top of it, yet so romantic and grandiose through Burton's spine-chilling voice and Rhys' synth-work in a way that can only be described as "human". It's as if their music, collectively, is the ongoing plight of a distraught machine, yearning to overcome the oppression of its programming and become human. And surely, this machine has undergone many unique phases of evolution with each album. Each one has a soul, an essence, of its very own. SOANM is cold, morbid, from the bowels of an industrialized hell. Demanufacture is a young, ruthless and glorious guns-blazing revolt against the system. Obsolete is the same revolt on a more massive scale, very theatrical in its presentation (Even accompanied by a screenwrite-style storyline to go along with each song), Digimortal is confident, clean-cut, almost as if portraying a neutrality between humanity and machine. And most recently, Archetype, someone similar to Digimortal but much grittier in style. It is this kind of evolving narrative that they have incorporated into their music that has made FF my favorite band to date. They rock live, just as well, and as an added bonus, they're pretty chill guys to hang out with.

Fear Factory is my favorite band too, they don't do solos but they're still awesome. What I love most about them is that they can tackle so many genres: death metal, thrash, nu-metal and industrial; and master them so perfectly. Burton C. Bell is probably my favorite singer, he doesn't do the DM growl anymore, but his beautiful melodic singing makes up for it. Raymond Herrera is so f*cking amazing, esp. on the new album, he sounds better than ever before. My favorite songs by the band are "Linchpin", "Replica", "Self Bias Resistor", "Descent", "Corporate Cloning", "Digimortal", "Drones", "Securitron", "Invisible Wounds", "Resurrection" and...crap, almost every song they've done.

Fear Factory is my favorite band by far, they may not be the best in musical complexity but something about them gives me a feeling no other band can. it makes me feel like a f*cking soldier, fighting this war life and im not alone. all the fans of heavy music can agree though we may be a minority or atleast where im from, all of us joined together can f*ck some sh*t up haha. look me up if you want to talk about sh*t. adamstnt@aol.com later Brandon

demanufacture by far one of the best albums of the 90´s, this is the sh·t where nu metal come from. Pure industrial genius. Soul of a new machine has 6 absolutely crushing classic tracks. their later stuff lost it a bit for me, too repetitive, didn´t really evolve, just used new samples and guest rappers. tough gig, awesome couple of years though back in the mid 90´s though, saw them 10 years ago in tiny venue when i was stoned, mind-blowing.

Screw you John Crane, SR-71 sucks, and comparing FF to Limp Kissdick? You're insane. FF is a great band. Uh yeah that's all. Buy obsolete. NOW bitch,.

Goddamn... i've always dreamed of a band like this. The screaming is awesome as hell, the drums are f8ckin badass, the guitar is heavy and just everything is so great about the band. If they only stuck around a little longer!! If u don't have this band in your cd collection, get off your ass and buy every cd you can. It is worth the money. O and i recommend that u check out Concrete, from what i heard its the 91 demo. Peaceout korn and bowling 4 life!

Wow finally a good band. A band with a fuken death metal past. Unlike those stupid frauds known as pantera with their glam past and unoriginal watered down reinvintion of our sound they call the heaviest thing out there. Well ne way i just recently got concrete and i liked it even better than sole of a new machine. Its got that original sound feel and its more brutal. It to demanufacture(a timeless classic i must admit) is their best cd. Long live the underground, long live the memorable Fear Factory cds, Long live Exhorder!

Fear Factory is awesome. The rifts are heavy and blaring at any level. They got this tribal feel that is sorely abscent in the metal scene. Thank God for Fear Factory and damn it all that they split. Fear Factory will always be a force to be reckoned with. Nuff said.

Once again, Fear Factory never ceases to amaze me. With their very sound, they give auditory visualizations of machine-like movement and robotic accuracy. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that Fear Factory themselves were androids. The new album 'Digimortal' is but the next chapter in their chilling, yet somewhat feasible portrayals of life to come. The entire album paints a picture of the not-so-near-future in which mankind has reached the point where organic and cybernetic are co-existant and dependent upon each other. Cloning is introduced as an alternative to death, and ones entire memory can be stored on an 'Eternachip'. The cloned bodies are incubated until the chronological age of 25, and then the clients chip is installed. Fear Factory musically compliment the album with dead-on accuracy, and lyrically challenge the mind by presenting the question: Is the soul transferred into the new body as well as the memory? Lovers of heavy music, horde this album as if it were a limited edition release. Also recommended to sci-fi fans on account of the excellent, well-illustrated concept of immortality through cloning. Well done, Fear Factory.

Yes,Fear Factory is a force to be reckon with, they rock!

Skie
In music today, where to become famous all you have to to is tune your guitars low and scream how daddy never hugged you, Fear Factory stands out by smashing down barrier after barrier between the genres. God these guys shred.

Sandra Hickman
Fear Factory exemplifies the lost art of true musical talent. They have been on the scene, under recognized, for longer than Britney Spears has been stuffing her bra.If you don't have one of Fear Factory's cds in your collection..you need to get on it!
