Hey Massacure, I hate to say this, but you and juicyfruit need to hurry up and finish your conversations, you might slow the computer down everytime you enter this review. well Let me tell you. That's just how punk music is. You listen to too much metal or whatever but that's ok I listen to that stuff too. And how are they not punk, There not country, there not hip hop or rap, and they are not classical. Besides you only heard one song that propably sucks, maybe not one of the most popular. 5/10 I think shows that they go soft than hard! or 3. The Site is Vh1.com. You'll Probably Find A search bar somewhere. When yiou do, Seach Panter. But careful, There two Pantera's. I think it's the First one. Once Your at the Pantera site. Look to the left and you'll see a bar. Look for Message Boards. Once you enter searh for messages that Pretty Boy's in. But posting message isn't like in here. i think it's coming out on the 12th on fuse AND mtv2...broken dreams was no. 1 today on hits countdown on mtv2, but just barely. the fuking, perverted 'candy shop' video by 50 cent came in a close second. mtv2 is a lot better than mtv, but it still plays too much hip hop, which sucks ass. i like fuse, it's my fave channel because they play mostly rock (rockzilla, steven's untitled rock show...) and they really do green day justice by playing some of their old videos on loaded, like geek stink breath, excellent video...:) also, green day is gonna be on a show called storytellers on vh1, sometime in april. if you go to greendayauthority.com, it has LOTS of green day news cause it's updated really often. it's a great site, hell, it has more green day news than the actual green day official site! i heart green day!

greenday is the greatest punk band of all time. i hate how a lot of people say they are making fun of america in American Idiot. They are not. I think Green Day was a good band until they made "American Idiot". For all of you on this site who are american and look into the deeper meaning of the songs ( which aparantly none of you are or do wither) this song makes fun of the USA. when i heard this song i was shocked. they should be gratful that we let them record here make there videos and sell their albums. one reason is the vocal, is much betta than green day, ither tom or mark. and second the drum is way better, the drum makes the music cool. and third, blink182 is funnier than greenday. they make funny videos and funny jokes.

Green Day is and always be a great band in my mind, but it bothers me how people are like, "OHH MAH GAWD BILLY JOOO IZ SoO SEXXY OMGz BAZKIT CAZE N GUD RIDANCCC! DEWKY!" People like that aren't hardcore fans, the only album they probably own is blink 182's "Take off your pants and jacket." Green Day has better songs than "Basket Case" and "Good Riddance" and "brain Stew," etc. etc. Anyone ever hear anything off of 2039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours? THAT shows how good Green Day is. Songs off of Dookie such as "Having a Blast" and "Burnout" are worth the price of the album alone, but corporate glam like "Basket Case" makes me want to throw it out the window. People who think they're fans because they know the lyrics to Minority, well, don't show your face in public (or at least near me) because Warning was a true disappointment to me and many others. Well, what I'm saying is don't say you're a fan if you're going to write/say something that isn't very intelligent.

This is more a "Why do you like Green Day" thing, but its close enough.
I like Green Day because I can relate to them like I can no other band. Pinhead Gunpowder is a close second, but no one can compare. I have never fallen in love with a band so quickly. I loved them after the first song I heard. A band that can do that has to have some talent. It takes a lot in the music industry to attract any attention to yourself. Not only that, but they've had staying power in the music industry. That also proves a hell of a lot about them. But besides those obvious things...there are, of course, emotional reasons.
Like I said before, I can relate to their songs. At my stage in life, I'm looking for the explination to everything, and they always seem to have it. They always manage to bring optimism into even my most harsh moods. Their songs often remind me that people have it worse. They also give me a sense of hope. Not only through their music, but throught their lifestyles. They're doing what they love, happily married (well...Billie and Tre...) and are wonderful fathers. I'll never be a father, for obvious reasons, but the fact that they've done it kinda keeps me going. It reminds me that it is possible to be happy...

Green day is awsome, everyone says that blink182 brought punk back, but very untrue Green Day was there before them.They brought it back.Who says blink182 is punk neways? More like emo (dunno) or pop-punk. Unlike blink182 , green day songs have more depth to them and the majority dont sound alike.Their songs minority, longview, and brain stew are wonderful.I wish they would make more awsome songs!

what happened to Green Day they used to be cool.they were going from strenth to strength. then nimrod came out witch was good but didnt compare to the other albums. then it happened. 'Warning' what the hell was that compared to green day standards it freakn sucked. where was the punk guitar, the fast drums the insane bass.
Green day is now for teeny boppers. and for people under 16 years of age. i think its sad how they have turned there backs on the fans that were there from the begining.

Green Day. I think that green day is the greatest rock/punk band whatever you want to call them. I first heard about Green Day when their Dookie album came out. I went to my first Green Day concert this past summer and boy! it was great. All the energy diplayed on stage is amazing, and they get the people to come up from the crowd to play. It was great. Green Day... your the best, keep it up.

I've been a Green day fan since I'm 12 years old. I still like them but I'll always love their old stuff (Dookie, Kerplunk, Insomniac, etc)more then the new album.
I like Billie Joe a lot.
I like the music they do, though I don't think Green day is a LYRIC band but more a musical band...you know what I mean. Green Day music is a lot more important then the lyrics, their music speaks, the air of the songs, speaks. The lyrics are less important..well to me.
They are so original.
