I am a young 40 year old who went to see guns n roses at the nec in birmingham (england) 2006. I was a bit apprehensive as it was not the original band members. AXL ROSE was TOTALLY AWESOME!! That man can sing to me whenever he wants.

I think guns n roses was at best when they were the original memebers. I would not go to a concert now unless it was a reunion tour. I love gnr, but I mostly favor Slash. I think he's a true artist and can play the sh*t out of the guitar! I think Axl is the reason the band really broke up, his head got to big! and he thought he was the sh*t and he could do better off without the band and LOOK AT HIM NOW! This is the effects of drugs and too much plastic surgery. He looks horrible now, but Slash still looks sexy!

I think Axl made G'N'R what they were. Axl has real talent, he can sing, can play many instruments, and put on an ass kickin show. I can't believe his fellow band members turned on him, I think they just needed to work it out and didn't give it a chance. They all became greedy in the end. Axl is still great and always will be no matter what becomes of G'N'R. I just wish I could tell Axl how much I love him and his music.

Well I love guns n' roses as much as the next person who will write a re-view heer. The band produced superb and catchy riffs, slash put in long ass guitar solos and the accoustic guitaing in some of there songs, is certainly very good indeed. The drummig could be slightly better,in terms of experimenting, but to be honest its fine it backs this great band very well. The bass is played well, but in some songs not all, they could have cranked the base up a little louder but now worries on that department!
I think with guns n Roses, that they start with "appetite for destruction" which is brilliant! one of the best albums of all time! they could not have done that album better! forget what i said above about experimenting drumming and bass etc... its not needed in this album! i WOULD STRONGLY RECOMEND this album to anyone! However as guns n roses progress further on into time. further into there career, I feel they start to take a step backwards. What with all the drugs in there life, and member after member leaving the band werent quite as good as they were in 87. I have the "use your illusion" albums and song writing s good here, but it seems to me that theyre getting tired and have started writing slower songs, as much as I still love "use your illsuion" I found it harder to get into than "appetite for destruction". It was probably because of the new band members that there direction in music started to change. But all of there work is amazing! and if you dont have any of there work! then god damn go buy it!

GOD and GN'R sure spell different but mean same. In a very short lifespan they lived better N' bigger than any other band. Everybody who had been a gun at some point rocked hard and still does. Contributing their indivisual best, they all played their role remarkably to make GN'R No.1 throughout. Even after almost a decade GN'R era, they stand strong in the industry. Proving their mettle with the very first album of their's GN'R undoubtedly is biggest rock phenomena. GN'R is a short but the BIGGEST SUCCESS STORY. Lots of Luck to all the people associated with GN'R in past N' present.

2002 was the best,I saw Axl kick a$$ in Detroit, Toronto and London.Axl is the greatest frontman in his time...he is a totally awsome performer and made gnr what it is. The guys chose to go solo, wheres their sellouts or headlines? don,t diss Axl.The few new songs are awesome! For those talented musicans who are chosen to kick a$$on stage with Axl Rose will make alot of fans very happy...Axl Rose is a legendary. W. Axl Rose...hmmm....ok, you people sit around and judge Axl. First of all, nobody knows what it is like to be Axl, secondly the concert he showed up to in Columbus Ohio rocked so hard that the walls of Ntionwide arena are still crying out "Axl". Yes, I love Slash, Izzy, Duff, and Steven as much as the next guy, but I would be a liar if I didn't say that the new band kicked some serious rumpus. Axl is a brilliant man...he knows what he is doing. Let's stop judging him and exercise a little patience. Chinese Democvracy is going to revamp music. I know it will. If GNR reformed as it was...great...but if it doesn't, I am still going to be Axl's number one fan, and I will never question his decisions...i don't know him well enough to do that..and I respect him enough to admit it. Also, for all of you who say "he destroyed the mbest band in the world"...keep in mind how dynamic Mr. Rose is...keep in mind how much he wrote...ask yourself, would GNR have been what it was without Axl...absolutely not.

I am a hardcore fan of G N R and like everyone of their albums. That said, what is wrong with it's main singer is Axl just totally unpersonable, egotistical or both.
Does he honestly think that he will gain more of a audience and popularity by canceling concerts and starting riots NO WAY MAN you become great by showing up and playing great things to a enthralled crowd. GOT THAT AXL get off you goddam high horse and maintian a stable music streak fo once, you have a brilliant band and great stuff, but this nonsense you are pulled is total BS to a fan like me.
Maybe Slash ans Izzy with work with you agian if you wake up one of these day and stop thinking you are Guns N Roses when you are not, every member is.

I agree with Scott. I saw Guns N' Roses at Leeds and Axl has never sounded better live. Also the other band members are far superior musicians than Slash, Duff, Izzy etc. The album will be amazing but I'm not sure it is possible to beat Appetite For Destruction. One thing is for sure though, Guns N' Roses are certainly a better live band today than they have ever been. Who is Slash?

what is wrong with axle, won't someone tell him that he no longer sounds good, it sound like a mouse crawld in his throat and died. He should not be using the Guns and Roses name. So much of who I am and where I stand on my perspectives today are mainly because of Axl Rose. He is the most out of this world, one of a kind artists. I will never forget him and what beautiful music he has been apart of or written. He is a performer and wants only the best for his fans and many may not see that, but you also don't see what he has to deal with. I love him for what he is and how he has changed my life.
