I can safely say that Iced Earth is amazing. The lyrics, and the music baking it up are so full of passion that it's one song after another where you see them straddling their balls to the wall type of heavy metal, but they do slow down for some cases, and their ballad "Ghost of Freedom" is one of those prime examples of what a fantastic and meaningful ballad should sound like. I hope to God these guys stick around for a long, long time and declare war on pop music, as it is so bad. They're a diamond in the mountain of rocks in my books!

Guardian of ivory gays: First of all all, that hair cut argument it`s just too weak; and also, I can tell you don`t know anything about Iced Earth...because saying they are like korn it`s just stupid! For once in your life post something serious, something that has a point, of all the posting you`ve done in this page I haven`t read a single one that shows a little level of inteligence. If you think there`s a better music than METAL, I`d love to hear about it, just to prove you wrong again and again, LOOSER!!

I am so sad that Matt has decide to leave(6-02-03) It will be very difficult to accept any other singer of that band. I will try not to hate their next album even before i hear it. When Iced Earth gets a new singer, he deserves a chance to prove himself. I think that will be difficult to do considering how high Matt has set the bar with is range and pure emotion that he put into every song that he sung. He will be missed. And best of luck to him in his career in criminal justice.

Iced earth is probably the bst metal band to come in the 90's/00's from America. Jon Shaffer s a stunning guitarist and songwriter. Matt Barloww is the BEST vocallist on the ENTIRE planet, with his stunning range and the emotion he puts into all the songs. I think the constant lineup changes degrade the band. ZAkk Wylde should be their next lead guitarist!! Imagine what that would sound like.

This band is everything that is wrong with music today. Crappy singing, crappy lyrics, and crappy "music" (noise). They're like Korn and System of a Down, but with gay-a$$ hair band 80s music mixed in. Get a life you beer guzzling mulletheads, it's not the 80s anymore! Matt BitchHoe is an awful, awful "singer" (whiny retard). Iced A$$ also need to get a FREAKIN' HAIRCUT! Normal rock bands have short/spiky hair. Get the HELL to a barber shop, it's the 21st century dammit!

ok, Iced Earth is absolutely the most underrated band there is no doubt about it, i absolutely love them and cant get enough of thier music. i'm hoping they come to boston soon or SOMEWHERE near me. the greatest tour ever EVER EEVVEERR would be them with Blind Guardian and Schaffer and Hansi could do some D&W songs. if you disagree then you just suck...

I met and hung out with Jon Schaffer and Matt Barlow and not only are they the best band musicly but they are extremely cool guys too

Iced Earth are absolutely superb. I first bought Alive In Athens which is the best live album ever. The standard and diversity of the musicianship and Matt Barlow's vocals are sublime. Exceeelnt lead guitar from Larry, Jon's rthym great as always the drumming great. The appearance of the keyboards in some instances are a real bon us. Ther emotion in Matt's voice has to be heard to be believed. Every song would make you wanna cry its so deep. The lyrics also rule. Foryears I'vce been listening to exodus, testament, annihilator, motorhead and metallica.
