Hey ivory gate mother f*cker. You have a real mother f*cking retarded name you now that but I guess it suits you and your a$$ f*cking habbits well. and fates warning is a sh*t bad any way. Iron Maiden has been around a lot longer than fates warning with the release of the "Sound House Taps" in 1978. What else do you listen to, probably some C*ck Rock sh*t like limp bizkit or P.O.D. Why dont you go j*ck off your mom and leave the real metal fans alone you sick f@ggot P.S eat sh*t and die you f*cking a$$ h*le.

Posted by pyro :
ohh oyur talking about when blaze bayley came in. i see. maiden to me is still good not liek their old days, but they still rock.

Posted by pyro:
eddie st. hubbins what are you talking about? bruce didnt leave i think your talking about paul d'iano. cheesy rock?!?! i think not. led zepplin i respect them but they are more "cheesy rock". Maiden is metal in the eighties. black sabbath is good, but next time you make comments get you facts straight.

well, when I hear Iron Maiden..I think of one person who doesn't like me anymore...but he's the biggest Iron Maiden fan I know...Anyways...Their music is 'get the F*** outa here cuz i'm commin through' good!!!...it's also 'man!,blow me away right now!! GREAT!' On a scale of 1 to 10 I give them a 20!! ;)

Posted by Hail Maiden:
Hey hubbins, you can΄t tell me that "hey mamma say the way you move gonna make sweat gonna make you groove.." has deeper meaning than a song like "Afraid to Shoot Strangers"...Ivory, glad I΄ve found you here too; that gives me again the chance to tell you that your musical tastes are like HORSE SH^T!!

Posted by Eddie St Hubbins:
ive been reading some of these reviews and they dont have a clue what their talking about being the 'best metal band of all time'. they are not metal ,they are cheesey rock and thats it. u cannot compare them to Led Zepplin or Black Sabboth because most of their songs had no true meaning. I respect what Iron Maiden done in the eighties but the should have stopped when Bruce left.

Iron Maiden is the best band of all time. You sick mother-f*ckin a$$holes who says anything else, you are just some big f*ckin gay idiots who still have a fear of the dark. I have one last thing to say: UP THE IRONS, and Heil Bruce Dickinson. I have spoken!

Posted by *~gUaRdIaN oF ThE IvOrY gAtE~*:
IRON MAIDEN IS THE GAYEST BAND ON EARTH! Not only do they have giant poofy hair (80s are over retards), the lead singer sounds like a girl! The people who listen to this sh-t are 14 year old gay boys who have no girlfriends and who suck each other off for fun. Plus they ripped off FATES WARNING, a non-gay Prog band, who have a much better singer!Maiden SUX!

Posted by Hubba:
UPP THE IRONS best band of all time

Posted by Louis Hale:
Maiden are the best band in the world ever. End of.

Posted by A child of the damned:
Yep Maiden kicked ass from 1980 up to and not including No Prayer in 1990. Fear of the Dark could have been good if they had cut the 5 or 6 crappy songs and replaced those with 2 or 3 good 1s, - 12 tracks is to long n e way. Contrary to many people's opinion, it was the right time in '93 for Bruce to leave as the band had become stale. Blaze gave the band a totally new yet totally maiden style. Now that Bruce has had a crack at the solo thing he is 100% behind maiden which i don't think he was after Seventh Son. With Bruce giving it all with the energy he had back in the 80s (just watch Rock in Rio DVD), a powerful three guitar line up with the sheer talent of Murray, the technical prowess and song writing skills of Smith, and the exciting and energetic style of Gers, coupled with the one of the best rock drummers of all time Mc Brain, and the beating heart of maiden, Harris, maiden have been climbing back to their place as best heavy metal act since Brave New World, and now perhaps with only Metallica above them, we wait in anticipation for the next album which will hopefully take them back to the top spot!

Posted by HorsemaN:
these guys are just plainly one of the greatest metal bands ever and probably the greatest NWOBHM band. then again there's judas priest.

Posted by Buckethead:
While Fear of the Dark was definitely more of a return to form for Iron Maiden, it was still wasn't quite on par with their exceptional work from the 80's. Easily an improvement over 1989's lackluster No Prayer for the Dying (both musically and sonically), the album debuted on the U.K. charts at #1. The opening "Be Quick or Be Dead, " proved Maiden could easily hold their own with younger thrash metal bands, "From Here To Eternity" contained lyrics that seem better fitted for Motley Crue, while the expected epic album closing title track would become a concert staple (all 3 tracks were released as U.K. singles). While Maiden records of the past would contain an album's worth of first rate material, Fear of the Dark is again weighed down with too many drab compositions - "Childhood's End, " "Chains of Misery, " "Judas Be My Guide, " etc. The serene "Wasting Love" proves to be one of Maiden's better ballads of the 90's, while the rockers "Fear Is the Key" and "Afraid To Shoot Strangers" are also standouts. Fear of the Dark would be singer Bruce Dickinson's final studio album with the band (until their late-90's reunion), who publicly voiced that he felt the band had run its course. [Note- As with all of Iron Maiden's 1998 re-issues on Raw Power, a multimedia section is featured on the CD, which includes videos, band biographies, tour date history, and photo galleries.]
