Journey has been always been my #1 favorite band. Steve Perry: I love you! Steve Augeri: I Love you More!

Posted by Hans_Peters:
Saw Journey on September 3, 2005. Steve Augeri hit every single stratospheric high note. I've seen him 4 times before, but I never heard him so flawless. He was better than Perry. He was incredible. Unsuprisingly, Neal and Jon were tight as usual.Great show.

Steve Augeri rocks, I saw him in August and I am going to see him again Reno in December, He has the most awesome voice ever and I love the way he dances and moves his gorgeous body. I will be a FAITHFULLY Forever Augeri fan!

Rox from Germany shouldn't feel bad. I'm only 19 and am a huge Journey Fan (wasn't even born when the legendary Escape came out),and am proud of it. They are probably the greatest AOR band in history (Foreigner is the other contender for this title) and they have shown that uplifting, positive rock music is very much a force to be reckoned with. They were a jazzy instrumental group in the 1970s,but changed into the much more commercial AOR act we all know in 1978 when a vocalist by the name of Steve Perry joined. And what a vocalist. Steve Perry easily ranks as one of the best rock vocalists ever, capable of evoking so much emotion with his stunning voice.Neal Schon is a guitarist to contend with (very underrated),while keyboardist Jonathan Cain has also proved a great musician and particularly songwriter since he joined in 1980. Escape (1981) was a rock masterpiece, containing eternal gems like Who's Crying Now, Don't Stop Believing, Stone in Love, and the absolutely heart-breaking Open Arms. Frontiers and Raised on Radio were records that continued the band's melodic AOR style, but in the late eighties they disappeared; this may have been for the good,as by then the rock scene was being taken over by glam-orientated hair metal. Journey resurfaced with Trial by Fire in 1996,but inb my opinion that was a disappointing album. Dominated by largely unmemorable, formulaic ballads,it was not a good album to restart their career. However, lasty year they released Arrival, with new man Steve Augeri (formerly Tall Stories) on vocals. While not quite as good as Perry, his is still a great singer, and,to boot, Arrival was the proper comeback album. With excellent tracks like To Be Alive Again and World Gone Wild (both of which stand up to classic Escape-era songs) Journey have re-established themselves as AOR kings. Long live Journey.

Posted by Rox from Germany:
with an age of 26 in germany i΄m properly too young listening to journey, perhaps even to know them. but i΄m sure i΄m not too young to feel. and that΄s what΄s inside steve΄s voice and what it gives: truth, feelings and faith. faithfully, robert

Together they will stand but devided they will fall.

Posted by Tammy:
Journey is the best band of all time. No one has a voice comparable to Steve Perry. He gives me chills.

Darlene
Faithfully listened to JOURNEY since the late 70's. So, excited they are touring again: I have license plates on both my car and Harley: Journy 6 and JRNY 6. The 6 is for the 5 band members & ME!

Chris
I have been listening to Journey ever since I was born and they still continue to be my favorite band. They are the greatest band in history.
