I think Linkin park is the best band they are the only form of rock I listen to. The rest is I listen to is rap like Eminem, D12, DMX, Jay-Z, Fort Minor etc. Other than Linkin Park, rock SUCKS any other band like Led Zeppilin, Pink Floyd, Slipknot, Metallica, etc. Suck because I f**ckin hate rock Linkin Park is the only form of rock I listen to. A lot of you guys here, both Linkin Park lovers AND haters, seem to understand only one genre of music, so anything that doesn't sound like your idea of 'rock' you automatically think it's bullsh*t. Personally, I'm a big fan of guitar riffs produced by the likes of Jimmy Page and Joe Perry - but I'm not going to condem Linkin Park for not making that aspect of their music a priority. And can people stop recomending that I listen to 'real' Hard Rock or metal because I listen to Linkin Park? It's pretty f*cking obvious that this band is niether of those. I agree that young music fans shouldn't eat up everything MTV shoves in their faces; LP's large youth fanbase is probably one of the biggest reasons they're critisized so much. I guess what I'm trying to say is, Linkin Park has a sort of Rock/Electronica/Hip-Hop sound that shouldn't be disregarded just because it doesn't fit into your rationalization of what 'rock' is.
Message to other LINKIN PARK FANS: Not Everyone will enjoy LP's music. If they did, then I would probably start to hate them, too. And while I'll agree that they're talented, they are NOT the best band ever. It's ignorant to give any one group such a title.
P.S.: I think Limp Bizkit has produced some of the worst songs I've heard, and they can suck MY limp bizkit.

Dont diss the Red Hot Chili Peppers! Those guys are original and freakin great man! Linkin Park are one of the worst bands of all time. They are just in it for the money and they have very little musical talent. I especially hate their guitarist for dissing guitar solos and thinking he is so great. Their lead singer is a whiny retard and their rapper is so annoying. They use a turntablist to cover up how bad they really sound. The music is really unimaginative and sounds like everything on the radio. They are also dumb for having such stupid nicknames and whining about high school problems. Dont waste money of this band, go for some Sevendust, Tool, Fear Factory, Korn, Ill Nino, Godsmack, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall and so on. Those bands have talent while Linkin Park dont.

Okay, like somebody said below- its not all about solos, but a RIFF here or there would be nice, as opposed to having it be all power chords. Their only good songs IMO are Faint and In The End, and thats even pushing it. It seems all their songs follow the same damn formula: start off with a electronic sample and then have the instruments play over it, verse with light singing or rapping, chorus with yelling and anger, repeat, bridge, then end. Its not that complex. No acoustic songs or anything.

Maybe Meteora was basically the same album as Hybrid, but both albums are extraordinary. Maybe those that wanted something different out of Meteora would have been happy if they made a country & western album just for the sake of sounding different. LP will be around in 10 years, know this

This band is a horsesh*t band that is not even creative enought to come out with new songs for a second CD. They had to release, guh, reanimation, which is all their sh*tty songs remixed. I'm sorry this band just blows a$s. Yes, they are manufactured just like 90% of all popular music on the radio these days. They mix sh*tty rock guitar with a DJ on turntables, can we say been there done that, with limp bizkit. The Rapcore sh*t is awful. If all these bands dropped dead at this moment, i would not be dissapointed in the least bit. Their vocals are so processed that they are not able to perform it live, because the screamy guy can't scream and hold a constant note that long live, it's all doctored by computers. And I also believe that they called themselves "punk" at one point in time. Not a whole lot is punk anymore, punk was created in the late 70's and early 80's by bands like the sex pistols, iggy pop, these bands didn't care to much about good sounding vocals, they just wanted fast music and have their message prevail. Punk is having a message against something, such as corporations, and the government. Punk is NOT manufactured bands from the music industry. Open your ears and listen to what you are listening to, manufactured horsesh*t!

It annoys me that Linkin Park get criticised for being manufactured. Like THEONLYMERC says I found the future of rock music lookig pretty bleak at the end of the 90s, after coming accros Linkin Park and after a few listens to Hybrid Theory I found them a refreshing change. Reanimation features LP working with some people Ive been really into for a long time and it was great that such an interesting project exposed their talent to many people who might otherwise never have got the chance to hear them. Meteora is growing on me slowly, I was dissapointed at first, but I'm definatley coming round!Breaking the Habit is ace, very 80s-which I love. The band deserve respect for their art work alone, the video which comes on the Meteora CD about the album art work really inspired me with my own designs. Overall I think that Linkin Park will prove the doubters wrong and will stand the test of time. I'd only say to them-please try more experimental stuff, it kind of feels like Meteora is sticking to a safe formula.

In about 3 months I will be 28 years old, and ever since gunsnRoses dropped from the face of the earth and Kurt Cobain blew his head off there has been absolutely no good music, and when nu-metal started things seemed to get worse. but LP changes that. They are original and have somne of the best vocalists i've ever heard. Shinoda and Bennigton are going to carry this band for years and years to come. Oh Hayden, Hayden. Nu-metal is sometimes referred to as rap/rock. So Linkin Park are rap/rock but not nu-metal? I'm not bashing them, just correcting you. Although some of their songs which are 100% rap free can just be classified as metal/rock. In my opinion LP were good to begin with, but then after Re-ani. I lost all respect for them. And Meteora wasn't too bad but it wasn't brilliant either. I still think Hybrid Theory was the best thing that happened to them.

The first CD was awesome, but they lost alot of fans because of the damn radio stations. I mean, it's great they played em, but 2x ever hour is outrageous. This coming from me, who has probably listened to ReAn and Hybrid about 200+ times total [whole thing] maybe more. I really cannot wait and for the next cd, 03.03, especially after the very brief little teaser on their website [ sound bg to the female spray painter ]. The bass rift is amazing, but what else do you expect from Pheonix? Overall, they have a great sound and talent. Regardless of whither you like their style or not is simply opinion. I don't enjoy country, but hey - different strokes for different folks.

1st of all, Linkin Park rocks. I listen to some other cd's like P.O.D. and Creed, etc. and LP Hybid Theory is the only cd I own where I like every single song! You could say this becuase they are all the same, but thats not true. Hybrid Theory is very diversified (probably spelled that wrong lol). Some songs have more rock and some have more hip-hop, and they are all awesome. Those who think Linkin Park is just a copy of Limp B they are wrong. There is one distinct difference: Limp STINKS and Linkin Park ROCKS!!!

I don't get how so many of you like Linkin Park. They are clear assemble with the same idea that BB and N'Sync had backing them, except this time there going after the Angsty teens. Look at them, music that fits the goths, hair and looks for the girls, with a rebelious attitude. Next, look at the lyrics. They are the worst I have had the dis-joy of seeing as of late. Most of the songs appear to be copied straight from the angsty goths notebook, next to the picture of the hexigram, and sucicidal poems. Please people, find some good music. I know it's catchy, but there's more to music than a catchy song. Look at the lyrics. Look at the band. Look around and find something that has quality.

He said that LP sucks and that they are not a real rock band. Although, he is entitled to his own opinions, I would like to point our that Linkin Park never states that they are real "rock" music. Actually, they are always saying that their goal is to intigrate many different kinds of music. Just because SOME of them choose to have dyed hair, tattoos and piercings (if this is how you define a rock band, does this not mean that even Britney Spears, who has both tattoos and piercings and has dyed her hair on many occasions, is also rock?) does not mean that they are trying to be anything. And if they were not able to sing or play their instruments, do you think that they would have honestly got a recording contract and sold millions of records?
And that they would have such a large and devoted fanbase, even after just three singles?
In my opinion, Linkin Park is a amazing band and does succeed in mixing different genres of music. And to Justin, maybe you should learn to spell before you start insulting people's tastes and calling them "stupid".

I love the original sound to their music and the fact that it doesnt sound like everything else out there. I think it's also nice to have music and lyrics one can relate to. Linkin Park's Hybrid theory is a mix of hardcore rap and edgy metal that give the listeners a intoxicating beat that makes them want more.
Songs like "Crawling" and "In The End" relate to the various listeners and make them think, "I understand what they are saying" or "I've been there."
I recommend it to anyone looking for something different or anyone who's having a bad day. My final grade for it: A+ (100%)...with extra credit! If you don't have the album yet, BUY IT!
