Biography
Eddie Money is one of the most popular rock and roll artist of the past two decades. Songs like "Two Tickets To Paradise", "Baby Hold On", "Take Me Home Tonight", "Shakin", and "Think I'm In Love" reach across generations to build Money a faithful fanbase that continues to flock to his shows, and buy his records.

Eddie is celebrating almost 25 years as a recording artist, with a new album and constant touring. The album, entitled "Ready Eddie" features all new material with Eddie's rock and roll signature style.

Money has recorded 12 albums and sold over 12 million records worldwide. His career dates back to the mid-70's when rock impresario Bill Graham discovered Eddie at one of Graham's legendary San Francisco Sound of the Cities talent shows. Graham managed Eddie's career until his death in 1991 during which time, Eddie had over 10 top 40 hit singles and became one of the most successful touring acts of the time. "Losing Bill was like losing a father," Eddie says. "I still haven't quite gotten over it, but he would want me to rock on." Early in his career, Eddie made some illustrious marks of his own. He was the first rock & roll artist to do daytime television, hosting The Merv Griffin Show for a week. Eddie also made two appearances on The Mike Douglas Show, and has always enjoyed doing T.V. and radio. He's been on Johnny Carson, cooked a leg of lamb with Dianna Shore, visited Jay Leno, David Letterman, Regis & Kathie Lee, Donnie & Marie, Rosie O'Donnell . He's appeared on American Bandstand, hosted The Midnight Special twice with Wolfman Jack, presented on The American Music Awards, and was a guest on Saturday Night live. He's built a reputation as an artist ready and willing to do live radio anytime, anywhere, and is currently working on a guest appearance for a popular T.V. sitcom. Other current projects include Arena Football, ESPN, Major League Baseball, and is building a recording studio in partnership with friend and producer Curt Cuomo. With a new flash website, eddiemoney.com keeps Eddie in touch with his fans, and takes an active part in bringing his music and merchandise to his faithful.

His well-known rock and roll extravagances have long since been traded in for a spiritual, family-oriented lifestyle. His beautiful wife, Laurie, and their 5 children often accompany Eddie on the road and sometimes onstage." At this point in my life, my family is the most important thing to me, " explains Eddie. "I've had success, money, fame, and power for a long time, but nothing gets me higher than the relationship I have with my wife and my children."

"Ready Eddie", delivers an entire album comprised of new material. On the first single, "Don't Say No Tonight", Eddie describes what he calls "a plea put out by every married man in the audience; 'Please, please, Don't Say No Tonight!'. Boy, doesn't that ring a bell!" he laughs. "It's a great tune that really involves the audience. It's become a great part of our live show. The audience really gets into it and they love singing that chorus". Hard hitting tunes like "Ready To Rock" and "Broken Down Chevy" draw on the familiar roots of Eddie's rock and roll past, while the endearing ballad "Turn The Light Off" tells a softer tale of missing a lost love. "I'm a sucker for a great love story" Eddie says. "You know, a lot of what's on this record comes straight from the heart. And I see it in the crowd too. That's what is so rewarding for me".

Eddie Money is an artist with a future as well as a past. He sees this latest release as a chance to look back at yesterday while as the same time moving on to tomorrow.
