Although the four guys from Heidelberg/Germany had
to cope with a lot of strokes of fate since their first
foundation by bass-player Roger Kayy in Summer
‘92, MR.HATE kept on believing in themselves, when
most of the other bands have failed long before. The
band’s name (following a song by THE TUBES) is
the final result of all those troubles, caused by
frustration of several line-up changes and epitomizes,
after all, this kind of chaos. In the fall of ‘95 guitar
player Steffen Seeger finally completed the line-up
and in quick succession, things were getting much
better.
By comparing MR.HATE to various other bands it is
quite obvious that the different musical influences of
the four band members Roger Kayy (bass), Steffen
Seeger (guitar), Henning Lachmann (drums) &
Carsten Schulz (vox) mix up to a sound, featuring not
only traditional, but also modern styles of hard rock
without setting on any trends. Extraordinary guitar
riffs & solos, a bass like thunder, funky, but heavy
drums, crowned by powerful vocals - that’s
MR.HATE.
The title of their debut album “Fragments” represents
the various artistic qualities of each band member:
They fit together like single fragments to a completely
homogeneous picture.
After they built up a good reputation as one of the
hottest live acts in the past, they are now ready and
willing to “rock the place” with "Fragments”, which is
out all over Europe on USG Records and Saraya
Recordings for the U.S., Canada, Australia and
Mexico.
