Mudvayne are the most amazing band in the world. Its true that theyre old stuff is better than the new album, but its still amazing. No other band compares. I saw them at download (UK) this year and they were perfect live. And greenday, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL. HA. Thanks for that man, I needed a laugh. Good band at the moment for me though, is caliban. Oh yeah, and greenday. HA. No just kidding, theyre actually quite good if you dont listen to his voice. ROFL. nope cant quite keep a straight face whilst saying that. Oh, and by the time youre reading this bit, you should have realised that i have nothing usefull to say, and that you have just wasted a few minutes of your life. HA to all of you.

B-Man - I spoke about Mushroomhead, because someone bashed them earlier in the reviews. I merely defended them. If you read first post - you'd see that I did review them, and they won. Moron. Now:
I rather enjoy the "newer" Mudvayne sound. The Thrashier guitar work and calmer vocals are a welcome change from the past. As much as I loved L.D50 and The End of All Things to Come - Lost and Found is great - both musically and emotionally. The lyrics are deep, the music tight and the vibe a BIT creepy. Right where Mudvayne has always been - but with a bit of a twist.

Caught, Mudvayne in St Petersburg FL at an outdoor venue,this weekend. My first glimpse of the band live. As a 47 yr old that was weened on Sabbath ,Kiss and Alice Cooper I honestly don't expect much musically out of todays metal lineup. The acts prior to Mudvayne proved that theory. In Flames and Shadows Fall while loud fast and provocative ,I found them lyrically and artisiticly lacking. Each of these bands has a loyal following but I doubt they converted many folks that night. Mudvayne was so strong I seriously doubt anyone at that show will ever miss them in concert for years to come. Makeup,costumes who cares. The band is extremely tight,lyrically sound and knows how to drop in a good hook every now and then. I can tell this band will never cross over to the rock/pop side but I expect them to be on Alternative
charts for a long time. See you at the next show. Oh by the way, loved your tats.

ha! greenday???? LOL *keels over* Mudvayne are the best in moody, dark and angry music to date. The lyrics have very deep meaning, and the singer has a great vocal range. The bass lines are utterly fantastic, the drummer is so quick and the crunchy guitar really gets the angry side of me kicking! LD50 is a great album! i dont care much for the face paint unlike most (the drummer looked like a Bassetts Everton mint :P), i was rather confused when they became aliens in jumpsuits. they look alot better now, but they should definately return to the LD50 style *nod*

Oh and 6(sic)6 - Mushroomhead was around LONG before Slipknot even existed. (Even before the inception of the original StoneSour's debut effort.) Mushroomhead and Slipknot essentially evolved the sound on two different branches. Mushroomhead moved from death metal to the stuff they do now....Don't believe me? Download 'Xerox" from (i believe) Superbuick. Amazing song...but you won't find an ounce of keyboard in it. And (Just in case you haven't figured it out, you ill-informed d*ck) thats what most of their new stuff is based on. Slipknot essentially evolved from an industrial background (listen to MFKR...very NIN-ish) Before you bash a perfectly good band, inform yourself on them at least. Either that or display some of said knowledge in your bash on the band. Dipsh*t.

Why do you continue to force Slipknot and Mudvayne into the same mold? They sound nearly nothing alike. The brutal "attack" of guitars (3 of them actually) that slipknot has is not represented in Mudvayne's sound. Mudvayne seems to be more introspective than Slipknot's "Eat sh*t and die motherf*cker!" attitude. (For an example - listen to "Under My skin" off of LD 50 and compare with nearly any of Slipknot's stuff) Both bands are amazing, but Mudvayne actually wins out for originality and technical prowess( I mean come on - how many bands use drop tuning and write songs in 11/8 meter)

Mudvayne is the combination of an awesome bassist who pounds out heavy sound, a guitarist who makes the songs heavy and hard, a drummer who is the best since niel pert, and a singer with an unbelievable range. Mudvayne is much better than slipknot, corey taylor is an aweful singer and Spug from mudvayne kicked Joey Jordisans ass!

Mudvayne are awesome but Slopknot f*cken kick ass. Slipknor rulez all metal bands. Mudvayne are good too but i thought Dig and Not Falling's chrus kind of have the same rhythm. SLIPKNOT ROX. Corey Taylor is my favourite singer EVER. Mudvayne also has a very good singer. these are the only 2 bands i listen too.

Kick ass album! Mudvayne should keep it up with the style. The face paint was fun and all but that's not what the music is about. The reason why they stopped doing that was so that people would realize they were a band first and foremost.

you guys are soo narrow-minded. ok mudvayne s a great band no doubt, but it is totally ridiculous to say mudvayne is good and everything else sucks and anyone who doesn΄t like mudvayne sucks, too. for example linkin park, i dont listen to new metal anymore, so its not really my favourite kind of music anyway. chester as an incredible voice. chud is a very beautiful voice, but chester CAN sing much better i think. i like linkin parks melodies, they always are very easy to remind. so if you like a band ok, but dont be so intolerant. i think that kind of opinion is already reserved for pops, hoppers and techno freaks. if you are metal, you are not in need of being this way. i think my statement concerning linkin park is very neutral, because is just listen to bands like cradle of filth, dark funeral, marduk and venom.

I love this album because it pulls you in and you just can't stop listening. The music is very powerful and Chad Gray's voice adds so much feeling to it. I can honestly say that I don't dislike anything about it. It's an excellent album made by an amazing band.

so...anyone you thinks mudvayne would rip off Radiohead can wake up and realize Radiohead is overrated. Im not saying that they are bad...they are very talented, but they are not Mudvayne. Although LD 50 was better then End of All Things...they are the most intelligent and meaningfull band that had emerged in the last 5 years. All are excellent musicians. There is a reason for Chad's screaming and anyone who says he has no talent should reads death blooms and listen to his wonderful voice on Silenced. Anyone whos says he is hot needs to freakin get into music as an art and not as a commercial business. All good bands sound rough when you listen to them the first few times. If they are catchy little jigs they were made for money and money alone. Watch any behind the scenes footage of Mudvayne, the Dig dvd or the spec. edit. End of All Things dvd and realize that these guys are thinkers and are in it for more then just champagne and hookers.

Well, there are certainly a lot of people that post that lead me to believe Mudvayne has a lot of idiotic fans and therefore is a crappy band. Fortunately, I know better than that and I realize the genius that is Mudvayne. On the album L.D. 50 moreso than on The End of all Things To Come, they protray a deep, provocative nu-metal effort to shame all the selfless Korn clones. Just reading the lyrics to the songs alone is an amazing experience, and may well send a shiver down your spine. The music is multilayered and textured with such attention to detail. The end result on both albums is an amazingly powerful sound that will not be forgotten. Rhyknow is simply an excellent bassist, what with all the interesting techniques he uses, and may well rank up with Incubus' late Dirk Lance. Spag is great as well with all his double bassing, and Guurag, though more ambience than anything comes through with flying colors as well. Chud has the trademark nu-metal growl-scream-sing voice that works for the music. They stand out like a lighthouse near the coast of the huge ocean of crap with their "math metal" and provocative lyrics. And don't even get me started on the live shows. I'm doubtful that anyone with the post name "champagne and hookers" (not to name names) could tell from just an interview that the band is a bunch of morons. Get the special edition of End of all Things with the bonus DVD. You will see the true intelligence of the band. I rest my case, get either/or L.D. 50 and End of all Things. As Chud said to the crowd of Metropol "I don't care how you get this CD, buy it, steal it, burn it; just get it!"

Mudvayne comes out with a super weak sophomore effort, end of things to come is so unmemorable i don΄t remember a single song title. LD 50 was obviously much greater what this band is comprised of. I΄ve read their interviews, bunch of morons. Severed is brilliant, it must have originally written by radiohead i think. nu metal sinks farther.

Mudvayne is by far the best band; Music Wise and Lyric Wise. No one write better lyrics than Chad. They are just so damn powerful. And when its combined with the Music it jus blows me away. Songs like "World So Cold", "Shadow of a Man", "The Patient Mental", Death Blooms", "Everything Nothing", "Perversion of Truth" and "Cradle" are just a few examples of Mudvayne's powerful lyrics and heavy driving music. Mudvayne should come out of the shadow of Slipknot. Slipknot is no where near the caliber of Art that Mudvayne is at. Mudvayne is art and Slipknot is just crap. Where are all the powerful lyrics from Corey Taylor? Who knows!! 'Cause you can't understand a word he is saying. The music doesn't even go with the lyrics. It sounds like pure rubble and an old toilet flush. Mudvayne passed Slipknot on the ladder to Greatness!!! Their CD's just keep on getting better Too!!!

mudvayne are one of the only bands out today that seem to be pushing the boundaries that confine them. there new album is a growth, to put it mildly. i saw them about 3 weeks ago at the masq. in atlanta, it was a great show. thanks mudvayne!

The best damn thing about Mudvayne is Kuds voice. One second he's growling into your ears and then mellows into a soothing sorrowful wail. The rifts are heavy and wild. The percussions are hard and repetatively good. And those off the wall tracks with the synths and technical sounds are extreamly creative. They just take your mind and take it to some of the deepest darkest gutters. Out of the majority of diversity from any category of metal/rock Mudvayne is one of the best there is. I can't wait for their sophmore effort to come out.

I agree with those of you that choose to look past the paint...Mudvayne is indeed a legit band, I truly enjoy Kud's multi-dimensional vocals, which in itself makes his voice an instrument. I think Ryan is an extremely talented bass player who uses various playing styles, and Gurrg is definitely a superb guitarist, evident with the many riffs and sounds he can produce. And sPaG, definitely a genius, very kind-hearted and a totally awesome drummer. He can do eleven different things at one time. I won't comment on all the other bands you've people have mentioned, whether they suck or not, I don't care. I came here as a fan, thinking this was a Mudvayne fan review, not a review for haters of them and other artists. Peace.

I have been a fan of mudvayne for four years, they are my favorite band, they are incredibly inovatave. there hasnt been a band as dynamic as these five incredible artists. I met everyone in the band and they are absolutely awsome. matt mcdonough (spag) is the best drummer in the world and he's the smartest most thoughtfull person i have ever talked to. First of all, I can't believe that people put Slipknot, Mudvayne, Korn, Disturbed, Linkin Park, and Mushroomhead in the same paragraphs. First of all, Slipknot fuc*ing rules. Korn had a lot of people fooled with their first two discs, but then revealed their true SELL-OUT, pussy RAP-metal nature. KORN IS NOT METAL! Linkin Park is nothing more than synthesized POP with a couple guitar licks here and there. Might as well listen to Backstreet Boys. I mean c'mon, they don't even say damn or hell. Mushroomhead should be killed on sight. All they did was steal the music of Faith No More, and the rest from Slipknot. They fuc*ing suck big fat elephant balls. And if you listen to them, you suck big fat elephant dick. And now for Disturbed. They are really not that bad. Out of all the rap-metal,nu-metal, whatever the hell you want to call it-metal, they are the best ones to listen to. They are kind of heavy. But they just throw up the biggest front in the world. They are so full of themselves they make me sick. They will fill the void until more real metal bands like Slipknot and Mudvayne emerge from this whole nu-metal mess.

I think anyone who compares Mudvayne and Slipknot hasn't really listened to either band. Mudvayne definitely has more originality with their music, especially in the bass category. Also, if you listen to the lyrics (or read them on their website) you realize that the songs have a message, as opposed to Slipknot's constant message of "f*** off or I'll kick your a**"

Well...some of the songs are alright. I hate when there is tracks with no music though. The face paint, if they like it I don't care what they look like. I like the bass in the music. The drums could use more work, but there descent too. The singer is good. Now the guitar player sucks. That's the only thing holding(if they are held) them back. Maybe the next album will slap me in the face?

Mudvayne rocks, people. I don't think a lot of you realize it because for the moment they seem to be caight in slipknot's shadow. Slipknot,however sucks and i don't see the resemblance at all between the two besides the scariness. Mudvayne has crazy talent and are far from just another metal band... tempo and time changes galore on l.d. 50. I think people need to look past the face paint and listen...

I RECENETLY BOUGHT L.D. 50, AND I HAVE TO SAY "THIS SHlT IS WHACK!" MUDVAYNE IS IN A GENRE` OF THEIR OWN. THEY ARE METAL WITHOUT BEING CONFINED TO ANYTHING. THEY USE EFFECTS THAT ARE INVENTIVE AND COMPLETELY OFF THE WALL. THEY'RE NOT AT ALL RAP-ROCK, THEY'RE NOT CONSTRICTED METAL, THEY'RE NOT SOFT BY ANY MEANS. I THINK MUDVAYNE IS STARTING A NEW THING IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. OVERALL, DUE TO THE NON-VOCAL TRACKS, I GIVE THIS ALBUM A 7.5.

Hey all, I have been a closet banger for as long as I remember. As the father of 2 teenagers, i must keep this band all to myself. "Dig" is by far the most aggressive hard kickin song that has been created. the music may not be that advanced, but the combination of drums and base slapping is #1. The video is entertaining, but come on guys, Kiss has been around 30 years. Just work on the music!!

These guys are one of the most aggressive bands out there today! And they do more then just scream, the guy can actually SING too. If you haven't heard them yet, or if you haven't bought the cd, and you like your music loud, heavy, and f*ckin aggressive, then buy L.D. 50!
