Very brutal vocalist john tardy? I've only got their latest, Frozen in time, however i have delved into their back catalogue, and will be picking up world demise and cause of death. Such a brutal vocalist.

"Obituary" : If you listen to Death Metal, and do NOT own a copy of "Cause of Death", stop what you're doing and RUN to your local music retailer. This is easily one of the best albums ever made in this particular genre. This album is also unique due to the presence of James Murphy's lead guitar virtuosity. Not that "Slowly We Rot", "World Demise" or "Back From the Dead" are nothing great, either. If you haven't checked out "Dead", it is a LIVE recording of a show at the Axis in Boston ( which yours truly attended ). If you ever doubt the musical prowess of this band, I suggest you have a listen to what they can do live. Yes, dethangelx, they are PHENOMENAL.

Obituary is a phenomenal death metal band who kicks beyond ass in every way possible! From melodic and catchy riffs, to well constructed drumming, i think they are the black sabbath of death metal!

ive just started to listen to Obituary and i must say this band rocks. their heavy catchy riffs and great but im a tad dissappointed with the vocal style though. nevertheless this rocks!
