offspring rule!!

Posted by Mr.Blonde:
OFFSPRING IS THE BEST PUNK ROCK BAND EVER.

Posted by AHHHHHHHH:
One of my favorite bands, though I didnt care too much for Conspiracy of one, all of their other albums kik ass!

Posted by Michael Fischer:
Personally I am a hardcore punk fan(into Adolescents, Dead Kennedys, Circle Jerks, Ignite, Bad Religion, Agent Orange, ect.) but I am also a huge Offspring fan. When they started off in the mid-1980s, they were a hardcore punk band and over the years lost some aggressiveness but contiued to release punk rock albums. I would only consider one of their songs pop, Why Don't You Get A Job. My 2 most favorite albums by them are The Offspring, 1989, their debut release, and Ignition, 1992.

The Offspring was the best, is the best & will be the best band!!! OFFSPRING FOREVER AND A DAY!!!

Posted by Greg K???:
well i have to say that people today aren't into the offspring anymore. I hear that they "suck" or their too old and all that crap. First off you actually try to listen to some of their other songs, not just "pretty fly", "original prankster" or "self esteem", you should listen to some of the songs that have not been released. Some of their greatest hits from my point of view was "i choose", "dammit, i changed again", "genocide" and my absolute favourite "come out swinging". MTV and MuchMusic don't play them anymore, they just keep playing sum 41 and treble charger. Not that theres anything wrong with that. Its just The Offspring made punk rock the way it is and people should know and respect what the offspring has done over the last 14 years or so. February 2003 is gonna be a good month, NEW OFFSPRING! C ya

the offspring rock.and dexter is fit!

Posted by Joel "Buzzman":
i have heard a lot of different opinions on the offspring. but my opinion is that they write some of the most meaningful songs i have ever heard. they talk about everyday s#it that we all get pissed of about. and even though noodles plays power chords 95% of the time, when he puts those couple chords on one of the songs, it sounds freaking awsome!

Posted by Rmavic:
I think The Offspring rocks, They have been my favorite band for seven years, and they still rock. I can't wait till there next CD comes out.

Posted by Julia:
I used ti like the Offspring then they went downhill. Then they came out with "Defy you" and that song kicks ass!

Posted by Paula:
The Offspring make up the best melodic punk band that I have ever had the pleasure to hear. People who call them "sell outs" or "pop" obviously are re-hashing information they have heard from their "hardcore" punk articles. Many punks and punk bands do not like The Offspring for the single reason that they have mass appeal. The Offspring cannot stop people from buying their albums. All they are doing is making music that is fun and they actually mature with each album. That may be hard for all you punk fans out there that listen to generic hardcore punk or pop punk music, but I'm sure someday you will except it. And to the person who said Guttermouth was great and that The Offspring's lyrics are for 8 year old listeners, did you actually listen to Guttermouth's lyrics? Dude! They are damn simple! Example: God's Kingdom and She's Got The Look...those songs are monotonous and repetitive witht eh rest of their music...jeez. Let me guess, you only heard the Offspring's most popular singles huh? Well, have you listened to their self-titled ablum or Ignition from 1992? NO! And I bet you didn't even hear any of the great songs from their other albums (Smash, Ixnay On The Hombre, Americana, Conspiracy of One). I happen to adore all of The Offspring's songs so it really makes me a bit upset when someone slags off The Offspring without a valid reason or nothing to bakc up their accusations except their own ignorant opinion. (just a little side note to those of you who think the word "ignorant" means rude...it doesn't! So stop using it worng! It means a lack of knowledge!...sorry, I just hear it used incorrectly all over the damn place.)

Cal
I saw them years ago playing with Guttermouth ....Guttermouth rocked, as for offspring - they were making lamer comments about the backstreet boys (like theyre dissimilar). Musically wise - yeh they might have some catchy lyrics which im sure impresses the 8 year olds. I think for the most they are a wannabe punk band (they are that far removed) coming up with lyrics that adhere to social values...go on, get a job...dont act like youre black, gee kids have guns in schools?!?! Fairly soon I expect these clean cut young men to turn to the bible soon and find salvation in Jesus because even their swearing is contrived.

Hex
THE OFFSPRING RULE! Dexter Hollands lyrics are great he is also a brilliant singer if Noodles is not the best guitarist i have heard then Cradle of Filth are in the pop charts, this is a great band who have a lot going for them

Norman
They are a boring band who just rip them selves off and say 'whow' far too often. they ripped of ob la di, ob la da' in some song and 'come as you are' in vultures. they are boring people who are obsessed with cool and think they will impress little kids by putting stickers on thier guitars. I wish I was as 'cool' as them, with my bleached hair! 'BLEACH OUT! BREAKOUT!' Yeah man, I am so COOL. I need a song to rip off...

FOULSHAM
HELL YERH MAN THEY KIK ASS AND THEIR MUSIC IS THE THE VOICE OF A LOST GENOCIDE........THEY RULE PUNK AS WE KNOW IT.

Paul
Hey all. The Offspring ROCK. I just saw them in concert and the floor was shaking. They are the best. No other band is as good as them
