Why must every message board be infested with little kids that really need to grow up. Staind is a pretty good band by themselves. They do get rather repetative, but still, when you compare them to the "lets see how much of a musical conformist band" attitude of the mid to late 90's, they are a refreshing breath of fresh air. The radio stations throughout the 90's had little more than a musical display of suck to really matter, and with the exception of a few bands, nothing that came out on the air, starting with Nirvana (the ultimate in over-rated bands) was even really worth listening to. And lets not even get started on Korn... they are probably one of the worst things that has happened to music SINCE Nirvana. I expect that now all of you little pre-teen cohorts will probably come ranting and raving because GOD FORBID somebody saw Nirvana for the worthlessness that they actually represented. Oh well.

I like staind. The only real problem is some of their songs choruses sound the same. I don't mind that they sing about how bad life is. I like 14 shades but i think next time they should make a heavier album like dysfunction but without some of the screaming.

You have to give staind credit where credit is due, here is a band who have coupled an infinately talented vocalist and lyricist with a great rock sound to be one of the most talented groups around. gUaRdIaN oF thE IvOrY gAtE~ is just bloody idiot. Staind is about teen angst. Growing pains and the way the world works. Sure they get played out but that's the media not them. The lyrics, if you ever find the time to read them, should tell you a lot. Staind is very mature for their age, with the exception of the fact they're buds with Fred Durst. Most bands grip about stupid sh:t. You shouldn't confuse whining with venting. Sometimes I think, because they're so popular, people think, uh oh, ego trips *cough*..Creed..*cough*..*cough*.. I have to say Staind are the greatest thing that has come out of america for ages. with the limp lyrics of fred durst and pop like Linkin Park its so refreshing.
I willingly cought up £25 to get the manchester apollo last month. I expected good music and what i got was phenomenal, I've never seen a band play as well live as that. I'd have to say they are THE BEST modern rock band and will soon become as big as nirvana were and still are.

Finally, a band that can write melodic rock, and still well...rock...Break the Cycle is one of the few albums that I can listen to straight through without hitting the skip button. Aaron Lewis's soulful singing, Mike Mushok and Johnny April's guitar/bass orchestration blends together with Jon Wysocki's creative and right on target drum playing, combine to make some of the best music out there. It's music with feeling and meaning, and the yhave good messages in their songs....Finally a new metal band that I can look up to!

Staind are my favourite band, I saw them in London last Tuesday. It was an amazing concert. I was front row and Aaron sang right to me and Mike threw me his plectrum. Aaron was amazing, he was so into the music. To "Staind sucks", he what? Whines for no reason? That is a really stupid never mind ignorant thing to say, do you know Aaron? Do you speak to him frequently? No, didn't think so. First, he doesn't whine, second I don't know much about his background, but I'm guessing he has a pretty damn good reason for expressing himself the way he does. Which he does beautifully.
