It was in the early spring of -97 when a guy named
Jesley Snipes and a rather nice young man called
Goldleaf got the idea to start a garage band. Jesley
was going to play the drums and Goldleaf the guitar.
A few days later... Jesley was talking to a friend of
his,Dr.Freόk, and told him about the idea to start a
band, and that they needed a bass player. I can play
the bass, Dr.Freόk said and joined the band.
About a week later Jesley wrote the first song, called
"Big Ben", and came up with the name "The
Intoxicated".
A month later Dr.Freόk decided to play the drums
(he΄s a drummer) 'cause him and the bass didn't got
along. So Jesley started to play the bass for a while,
but he didn't feel comfortable with the four-stringed
piece of wood, so he started to play guitar.
In September -97, The Intoxicated realized that they
needed a singer , so Jesley grabbed the nearest
microphone and shouted-"I wanna do that"!, and so
he did.
In November -97 they had their first gig. It was about
100 people in the crowd and it went OK.
February -98 they recruited Mad J, a friend of theirs
on the bass guitar.
