Comic Settlement
E! reports: Stan Lee's Spidey cents are tingling big time. 

The 82-year-old comic-book mastermind has engineered a massive settlement with Marvel Enterprises that brings an end to a $10 million lawsuit in which Lee accused the company of shutting him out of unpaid profits stemming from the big-screen success of his famed webslinger and other Marvel Comics-based films. 

The suit, filed in November 2002 in U.S. District Court, contended that Lee's deal with the company gave the him a share of the earnings generated from films and TV shows featuring Marvel's comic creations. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Hitchhiker Galactic Hit
AP reports: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" caught a nice ride with movie-goers, who made it the No. 1 weekend choice at theaters with a $21.1 million debut.

Gump Star Threatened
AP reports: Police arrested a man who allegedly threatened "Forrest Gump" star Mykelti Williamson with a gun while both were driving on city streets.

Reuters reports: ABC has extended its string of early pickups with next-season orders for the James Belushi-starring sitcom "According to Jim" and "America's Funniest Home Videos."

SNL Gets Ferrell
AP reports: "Saturday Night Live" is getting some more cowbell. Will Ferrell will host the show May 14, his first appearance since leaving "SNL" in 2002 after seven seasons as a cast member, NBC announced Tuesday. Queens of the Stone Age will be the musical guest.

Maher Suit Tossed
ABC reports: A judge has dismissed a $9 million lawsuit that accused political comic Bill Maher of reneging on a promise to marry a former girlfriend and support her for life, Maher's lawyer said. 

A Superior Court judge on Monday threw out the palimony lawsuit by Nancy "Coco" Johnsen, a former model and flight attendant who dated Maher for months, according to a joint statement from Maher's lawyer, Adam Streisand, and publicist Cece Yorke.

Daily Show Spinoff
Washington Times reports: On July 29 Comedy Central will launch "Weekends at the DL" with D.L. Hughley as host, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday. 

"The Colbert Report" will have "The Daily Show's" Stephen Colbert offering his take on current events and pop culture, much as he does on the Daily Show. And Adam Carolla's will host an as yet-untitled comedy show focusing on the day's events, celebrity interviews and viewer calls.

Flicka Deaths Accidental
Zap2it.com reports: The American Human Association has concluded its investigation into two equine deaths on the set of 20th Century Fox's "My Friend Flicka" remake, ruling both incidents unpreventable accidents. 

In a release headlined "American Humane remains good friend of 'Flicka,'" the monitoring organization expresses regret over the two deaths, but says all supervisory protocols were followed and that they were not the result of any failure on the part of American Humane's Certified Animal Safety Representatives or the production company's failure to comply with American Humane's "Guidelines for the Safe Use of Animals in Filmed Media." Star Wars 3 Not For Kids
antiTainment reports: Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith comes with a warning to parents. This movie may not be suitable to children under 13. The film has received a PG-13 rating due to "sci-fi violence and some intense images". 

George Lucas provided a screening at Skywalker Ranch on Tuesday to select members of the media and we know that the rating is well deserved. AP's David Germain says that the action in the film is "relentless" and adds, "It includes sequences more dark and disturbing than anything previously seen in the tragic Skywalker soap opera."

Harry Potter and the Goblet of IMAX
antiTainment reports: Harry Potter fans will once again be able to see their hero in IMAX glory. The Imax Corporation on Monday announce that they will debut the 4th film in the series, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", in Imax theatres the same day the film hits traditional theaters, November 18th.
