Taylor Swift Beats Justin Bieber
Apparently bowlers are slightly more discerning as Taylor Swift has proven to be more popular than Justin Bieber. Here is the announcement

The public has spoken and country music sensation Taylor Swift is the fan's choice as the 2010 celebrity inductee into the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame. With nearly 1.3 million votes cast online at www.gobowling.com, Swift topped pop star Justin Bieber in a hotly contested race to forever secure her place in bowling history.

Swift and Bieber were among nine celebrity nominees selected by the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA) for their public support of the sport of bowling. Placing at a distant third to Swift and Bieber was comic legend and former "King Pin" star Bill Murray who went on a late run to amass nearly 20,000 online votes during National Bowling Week (July 31 to August 7), an impressive total, but not nearly enough to catch Swift or Bieber who each garnered more than 600,000 votes. Rounding out the bottom of the competition was late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon who netted just 623 votes. The results of the Celebrity Hall of Fame vote were first reported in the August 23rd issue of OK! Magazine. - more on this story

David Banner & 9th Wonder Set A Dates
David Banner & 9th Wonder have announced the release date for their joint album, Death Of A Pop Star, which is set to hit on November 9th, 2010.

The album will be released through Banner's own Big Face Entertainment. The seemingly unlikely partnership grew legs when the two Southern boys discovered they shared a lot in common, including misconceptions due to their fame about how they hold the power to resurrect hip-hop music. "There's a lot of pressure because people think we have all the money and the answers," explained Banner in a recent interview with AllHipHop.com.

Formerly intended as a mixtape, the project developed into a full-length album as Banner and 9th realized the significance of Death Of A Pop Star. "David Banner and I both share the same views on topics such as manhood, being black in America in present day, and the state of black music in general," says 9th of the collaboration. - more on this story

Assault of the Sasquatch
This one is sure to be on the shortlist for an Oscar: Synthetic Cinema International and MVD Visual are pleased to announce the release of Assault of the Sasquatch for North American distribution on October 19, 2010.

When a merciless bear poacher is caught and arrested deep in the woods of a state park, he and his truck are taken to a neglected precinct in the heart of a dying city. Unbeknownst to the authorities, the impounded truck holds a deadly cargo in the form of the legendary Sasquatch. Now, stuck in an unfamiliar world, the creature will let nothing and no one stop it from coming face-to-face with the unscrupulous man who ruthlessly ripped it from its environment. Taking an inventive and action packed approach, "Sasquatch Assault" breaths new and exciting life into the immortal legend of Bigfoot.

Quote from John Doolan (Screenwriter): "The concept sounds insanely over-the-top," he admits, "but I saw an opportunity to do something different in a Bigfoot movie. They're all pretty much the same thing: A group of people head out into the woods and get attacked by a half-human monster. What sets Assualt of the Sasquatch apart is that, first of all, it takes place in a city. And second, the creature isn't just some bloodthirsty killing machine. We wanted it to have more humanlike qualities in addition to its animal instincts. The reason it attacks is because it's provoked, and feels the need to defend itself. Not to fear, though, blood lovers-there are still plenty of creative deaths."
