Teeny Tucker Trying To Keep the Blues Alive
Teeny Tucker will release her latest CD, Keep the Blues Alive, on June 15th on TeBo Records.

Keep the Blues Alive melds both her blues and soul music influences, and ably showcases her gospel roots, too, as evidenced in songs such as "I Wish We Could Go Back" and "Hush/Keep the Blues Alive." Many of the songs are autobiographical, as one listen to "Make Room for Teeny" and "Daughter to the Blues" will attest; and on "John Cephas," she plays special tribute to the late gospel and blues man of the song's title, whose Piedmont style continues to influence countless musicians. On that tune, as well as the album's closer, "Respect Me and the Blues," Teeny shows that she can get "down-home" with the best of the country blues artists.

Teeny Tucker was born into blues royalty: her late father was rhythm and blues singer Tommy Tucker, whose song, "Hi-Heel Sneakers," not only became a huge hit for him, but was covered by scores of other artists and continues to be a live show standard for blues and rock bands to this day.

Apollo Brown Brainwash Remix
In celebration of the release of his second single, "Real Detroit", (featuring The Left) from his debut album, The Reset, Apollo Brown is proud to release one of the album's tracks for fans, "Brainwash Remix."

Apollo Brown remixed fellow label-mate, yU's original "Brainwash" produced by Slimkat78 to create a completely new sound. Featuring yU himself, along with Grap Luva, and Finale, Apollo Brown is able to show off his production dexterity in this new remix.

With a series of vocals chops, deft filtering techniques, and a supporting, straight-ahead drumbeat in the background, Apollo Brown takes relatively simple ingredients to make a more somber version of yU's and Slimkat's original. The remix is Apollo Brown's exhibit to true producing talent. "I created the new sound of the song on my own," says Apollo Brown. "It was my interpretation of an already great song and how I felt it should sound."

Apollo Brown's The Reset will be released May 25 via Mello Music Group. - Brainwash Remix Mp3
