The Sun Comes Out For Shakira

"Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)," is front and center on Shakira's new album, The Sun Comes Out, which hit stores via Epic yesterday.

Though the album stems from Shakira's retrospective center, she also calls on the inspiration of other artists, bringing in Puerto Rican sensation, Residente, from Calle 13 on "Gordita" for a hip hop twist, and cover's The XX's "Islands."

The Black Keys iTunes Session and New Years Eve

The Black Keys' iTunes Session has been released exclusively on the iTunes Store.

Recorded live in August, the 10-song album includes songs from the duo's 2010 release, Brothers, as well as "Your Touch" from 2006's Magic Potion and "Chop and Change," which was featured on the soundtrack of this year's blockbuster film Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Mark Newman Sets New Album Release

(Kayos) Mark Newman will release his new CD, Walls of Jericho, on October 26, 2010 via Danal Music LLC.

The 12 tracks encompass 10 originals and two covers: Willy DeVille's "Mixed Up Shook Up Girl" and a rarity from 1969 San Francisco, "White Bird" by It's A Beautiful Day, done as a folksy duet with vocalist Naomi Margolin and featuring Newman on dobro.

As lead guitarist for the late Willy Deville's touring band, Newman grew close with the enigmatic legend, so much so that DeVille's widow, Nina, presented him with DeVille's beloved dobro. Audio Impressions, Inc. has officially released their 70 DVZ Strings orchestral sample library.

Film and TV score composer Christopher L. Stone was tired of interrupting his creative workflow to search through deep file menus, find the sounds he needed, then wait an eternity for them to load. He decided to start working on Audio Impressions' technology in 2002. He brought in his friend, Gary D. Davis, and together they developed DVZ and SPACE revolutionnary concepts.
