Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band Singled Out Week: Shadows & Sunshine
Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band release their new album, Doin' It Hard, it hard this week and to celebrate we asked Greg Hollowell (tenor sax / bari sax / flute) to tell us about some of the songs. Today he tells us about "Shadows & Sunshine".

Schwagstock 2005 at beautiful, scenic Camp Zoe in Salem, MO. It's time to go and we don't know where Al Al Ingram, our beloved bass player, is. I asked a young festival goer and his gruff response followed: "Who wants to know?" Delivered in the style of some tribal warlord's secret service agent, the boy's words left an impression on me. When I told him I was in the band and it was time to ease on down the road to the next gig, he just said "Come with me." His demeanor softened slightly. I followed my hempen clad helper across a river, up a trail, and into a cave which overlooks the Current River. When I entered the ancient, natural shelter, the scene I witnessed was unforgettable. Before we go any further, I'd like to say that I joke around quite a bit, but this here is no tall tale. This is an accurate account of the events which occurred following Scwagstock 31. Al Al, like the very image of buddha himself, perched full lotus on a thrown of natural rock amidst belly dancers playing zills (finger cymbals), tribal drummers ... I think one of his freshly ordained disciples was feeding him grapes and fanning him with palm fronds... incense, wine, and candles; a freaky scene indeed. "Al Al, there's someone called 'Greg' here to see you." Al Al responded silently with one nod that clearly said "Very good. Let him pass." As Al Al uttered his benediction and followed me from the cavern, women wept, babies were held, ... I thought I heard the sad sounds of a ritualistic goat sacrifice in the distance... even grown warriors were seen releasing tears. Al Al had achieved a state of Ayurvedic bliss, understanding, and sublime consciousness. He had had a good night. "Shadows & Sunshine" was created that night. The lyrics follow:

"Conceived in the shadows; now take it. Pushed out from the shadows; now take it. You will fear no darkness; now take it. You will fear no darkness; now take it.

You were born from the fire; now take it. Revived by the fire; you can feel it. You shall fear no darkness; now take it. Revived by the fire; now feel it.

You were born from the fire; now take it. Revived by the fire; I can feel it. You fear no darkness; now take it."

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!

Snooki and The Situation To Be Replaced On Jersey Shore?
(TMZ) With Snooki pregnant and The Situation getting sober, the people behind "Jersey Shore" are FREAKED the show will lose its sex-crazed alcohol-fueled edge -- so they're looking to phase the two out ... in favor of newer, wilder castmates.

According to sources, 495 desperately wants to keep things fresh -- and folding in new castmates will help transition the show into a new generation ... while still keeping old fans hooked.

Jay-Z Old Partner Accused of Selling Music Without Permission
(TMZ) Rapper Currensy's music is NOT to be trifled with -- and to prove it ... the MC is suing famed music producer Damon Dash, claiming he is hocking several Curren$y albums without permission.

Curren$y filed the lawsuit against Jay-Z's old biz partner and former co-owner of Roc-A-Fella Records -- claiming he and Dash tried to negotiate an agreement to release music together in 2010 ... but the deal never materialized.

Curren$y claims Dash released two of his albums in 2010 -- but the two still couldn't reach an agreement ... so Curren$y signed with Warner Bros. in January 2011.

But according to the lawsuit, Damon was unmoved -- and CONTINUED to release Curren$y's music despite the new WB contract, which gave WB exclusive rights to Curren$y's jams.

Now, Curren$y is demanding the producer quit profiting off him in any way. Curren$y also wants $1.5 million in damages.

But Damon fired back at the accusations with his own response -- claiming, he has the right to release the albums in question because he was given permission. What's more -- Damon says Curren$y stabbed him in the back, reneging on his agreement with Damon and signing with WB instead. more on this story

John Williams Composes 100th Anniversary Song for Fenway Park
John Williams has composed "Fanfare for Fenway," as a special tribute to Boston's Fenway Park which is celebrating its 100th Anniversary. BSO sent over these details:

The piece, just over three minutes long, was recorded Saturday, March 24, at Boston's Symphony Hall, and performed by musicians from the Boston Pops Orchestra with Williams conducting.

Maestro Williams is a loyal and passionate fan of the Red Sox and Fenway Park, and his music has had a long-time connection to the team and ballpark. A portion of the 2005 Opening Day Ring Ceremony, celebrating the first Red Sox Championship in 86 years, was set to a John Williams medley that featured the "Main Theme" from Star Wars, "Raiders March" from Indiana Jones, and the "Theme" from Jurassic Park, performed by musicians from the Boston Pops. Williams' music was also featured prominently during the 2008 Opening Day Ceremony as players received their World Series Rings and the second World Championship banner in four years was hoisted to the composers "A Hymn To New England," performed by the Boston Pops Brass Ensemble. That opening ceremony also featured the "Main Theme" to Superman, "Throne and End Title" from Star Wars: Episode IV, and "Raiders March" from Indiana Jones. more on this story

Robbie Williams Interested in Michael Jackson's Death House?
(TMZ) The first prospective buyer who came to look at the house where Michael Jackson died was singer Robbie Williams ... and who knew he was so loaded?

Our spies saw Robbie roll up to the house Thursday afternoon in his Range Rover. The house was just listed -- again -- this time the asking price is $23.9 million.

We know anyone who looks at the estate has to pre-qualify ...meaning they have to show they can afford the steep purchase price.

As for Robbie, a London newspaper estimates his 2011 net worth at $149 mil. Robbie currently owns a home in the Beverly Hills area -- he paid $16 mil back in 2008. And he bought a house down the street and uses the land as a soccer field. Now that's rich.

Atlanta Falcons Michael Turner Keeping Kid Off Reality TV
(TMZ) Atlanta Falcons superstar running back Michael Turner and his baby mama just reached the most important decision of their parenting lives -- never to let their children appear on a reality show ... on one condition.

Michael and his ex Rasheeda Walker have finally reached an agreement in their custody dispute regarding their second child -- born September 2011 -- hashing out a visitation agreement that's amenable to both parties.

According to the agreement, Michael will get to see his new son significantly during the off-season -- from January to August -- and on his bye weeks during the season. Turner also agreed to pay Rasheeda $6,000 a month.

But the best part -- according to the docs, "The parties agree that it is not in the best interest of either of the children to appear on any reality television show or program, absent mutual consent" ... meaning neither party wants the other to exploit the child on a reality show without the other's prior approval. more on this story

Basketball Wives Star Sued Over Hair Extensions
(TMZ) "Basketball Wives" star Tami Roman signed an endorsement deal with a line of hair extensions in which she promised to feature the product on her show -- but a new lawsuit claims she not only didn't deliver on that promise ... but she featured her own hair line on the show instead!

According to a lawsuit filed earlier this month in Texas, Roman agreed to become a spokesperson for Crème De La Crème Hair. In the lawsuit, Crème says part of the deal called for Roman to "have an appearance on VH1's 'Basketball Wives' where she will discuss her hair line with the [Crème's] owners."

But according to Crème, Tami bailed on every attempt they made to coordinate their appearance on the show.

The final straw for Crème came last month when Roman was supposed to promote Crème at a hair show in Atlanta. They claim Roman showed up as planned with a "BB Wives" film crew ... but was there promoting her OWN line of hair in competition with Crème. They also claim Tami's manager instructed the crew not to film anything Crème.

Crème is suing for damages in excess of $75,000 and they want the footage shot for "BB Wives" pulled from the show unless it's edited to feature them. more on this story
