Reese Witherspoon Embarrassed About Arrest
Actress Reese Witherspoon says she is "deeply embarrassed" about the things she said to police during her arrest for disorderly conduct on Friday in Atlanta.

The police had stopped Witherspoon and her husband, Hollywood agent Jim Toth, on suspicion that Toth was driving while intoxicated. Variety broke the story that police handcuffed Witherspoon after she became increasingly agitated and disobeyed the arresting officer's instructions to stay in the vehicle.

The actress was arrested and briefly jailed on a charge of disorderly conduct. Her husband was arrested for DUI. Variety quoted the arresting officer as saying, "Mrs. Witherspoon asked, 'Do you know my name?' I answered, 'No, I don't need to know your name.' … Mrs. Witherspoon stated, 'You're about to find out who I am.'"

Witherspoon issued the following statement through her publicist: "Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that it being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said.

"It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."

Humphries reportedly dropped his demand for an annulment based on fraud and both parties will pay their own attorney's fees.

The judge in case told Kardashian "Congratulations on your dissolution." However, the judge also reportedly said that the marriage will be dissolved once they sign the official papers, according to TMZ.

Lauryn Hill Asks For Leniency In Tax Case That Could Land Her in Prison
(Radio.com) Lauryn Hill is facing a possible prison sentence on Monday (April 22) for failing to file taxes on income of $1.8 million. But she is asking the judge to consider her past before making a judgement on her future.

Last Monday (April 15) TMZ reported that Hill was asking for mercy from the court because of, among other factors, terrifying threats she faced that kept her from paying her tax bill. But Hill's attorney said the report unfairly represented his clients position.

"We're not asking for leniency over 'terrifiying threats,'" Hill's attorney Nathan J. Hochman told Radio.com. "At sentencing, we will be seeking lenience from the judge based on who Ms. Hill is, what she has done positively in the past, what she does in the present, and what we hope she will be doing in the future. She is fully committed to paying back all her tax obligations going forward."

In June of 2011, Lauryn Hill released a rambling statement that addressed her failure to pay her taxes, which involved the "military industrial complex" and the need for her and her family to retreat from a "climate of hostility." more on this story

Jessica Simpson Buys Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's Mansion
It appears that resent speculation that Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have vacated their Los Angeles area mansion may have some truth to them as public records show that Jessica Simpson now owns the property.

The records show that Simpson purchased the Osbourne's 2.5-acre estate which includes an 11,000-square-foot home in Hidden Hills (Los Angeles County) for $11.5 million, according to SFGate.com.

It appears that the Osbournes took a loss on the property. They reportedly purchased the estate in 2007 for almost $12.4 million.

In other Osbourne news, The Mirror is citing unnamed sources that claim Sharon Osbourne is about to sign a multi-million dollar deal to return as a judge for X Factor in the UK, which would make her the highest-paid judge in the show's history.

(Gibson) It's no secret that Neil Diamond has strong ties to Boston. Major League Baseball fans are well aware of the fact "Sweet Caroline" is played during the eighth inning of each and every Boston Red Sox home game.

Last Tuesday (April 16), the team's perpetual rival, the New York Yankees, played the tune following the third inning of their home game in honor of Boston.

Following suit, the Chicago Cubs also rocked out to "Sweet Caroline" during the eighth inning of their Tuesday home game. more on this story

Wille Nelson Show To Benefit West, Texas Following Deadly Explosion
(Radio.com) Proceeds from Willie Nelson's upcoming, previously scheduled show in Austin, Texas will now benefit the West Volunteer Fire Department in West, Texas, the scene of a deadly explosion last week. The Country Music Hall of Famer's show takes place Sunday, April 28 at The Backyard.

"West is just a few miles from my hometown of Abbott," Nelson wrote in a statement on his website. "I was born and raised here and it was my backyard growing up. This is my community. These friends and neighbors have always been and are still a part of my life. My heart is praying for the community that we call home."

Another statement from Willie ran in the Waco Tribune (Waco is 20 miles south of West). "There are a lot of our friends and loved ones and neighbors down there," Nelson told the Tribune.

"We talked to some of them and some of them made it out OK, and some of them didn't. But they're strong, and they'll be back. It's one of those things you don't get over. But you will get through it."

Nelson was among many country artists from Texas and surrounding states who were moved by the tragedy. Additional notes of support have come from Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, and the Eli Young Band, among others. Read those here.

Justin Bieber Becomes A Hologram In will.i.am's New Video
(Radio.com) It's hard to imagine Justin Bieber's life getting any stranger, but his latest collaboration with will.i.am stretches those boundaries as he becomes a hologram.

"#thatPOWER" is will.i.am's latest track off his forthcoming album #willpower which features Bieber on the chorus and projected as a hologram and on a billboard in the middle of busy city streets.

"I'm alive and I'm loving every second, minute, hour, bigger, better, stronger, power," Bieber sings in the track.

Clad in a leather jacket, white t-shirt and his signature leather pants, Bieber isn't the focal point of the video, rather it's will.i.am and his posse of elaborate dancers. more on this story

Jay-Z Explains Why He Gave Up The Brooklyn Nets
(Radio.com) Jay-Z released a statement Friday (April 19) detailing his departure from the Brooklyn Nets as co-owner, in favor of developing his own sports management brand, Roc Nation Sports.

He explained in the post that NBA rules require him to give up his involvement with the team in order to represent other basketball players and "for Roc Nation Sports to function at its full potential."

"Being a member of the Nets organization surpassed some of my greatest ambitions," he wrote on his Life And Times. "It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I'm a Brooklyn Net forever."

Singled Out: Natalie Nylon's Dry Rivers
Today Natalie Nylon tells us about "Dry Rivers" from her brand new sophomore album "Star-Crossed Lovers". Here is the story:

Dry Rivers is a song I wrote to help give me strength to leave my ex-fiance and pull me out of the dark into something new. It was the most emotionally draining and dramatic relationship I have ever been in, but I was also the most in love I have ever been in my entire life.

This song was my cry for help. I needed everyone and anyone out there who was willing to lend a helping hand and pull me out of the shadows into the light again, hence the lyrics "shine a light, light my path though it is winding. Satellite: find my heart where its been hiding." Sometimes when people are in a relationship, it's hard to see what it looks like from the outside in. Love is blinding. I knew that I was strong enough to leave him and that there would be a light so I could move forward with my life, which explains the lyrics "dry rivers start to flow, the darkness turns to glow." I wanted to write this song not only to help myself, but to help others who are or were in the same situation.

Honestly if it could speak to only one person other than myself and it helped them find strength to pull themselves out of the dark, I would have accomplished my goal. I want others to know that they are amazing, beautiful inside and out, strong, independent, and should not take abuse of any kind. The darkness will turn to glow.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
