My Chemical Romance Poisoned
Contact Music reports: Food poisoning has brought MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE's US tour with MUSE to a temporary halt after band members were left sick and unable to perform. The groups have cancelled several dates after members of My Chemical Romance and Muse's crew fell ill on Sunday (29Apr07) after a show at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia. A statement reads, "With multiple people scattered in hospitals between State College, Pennsylvania and Columbus, Ohio, the bands were forced to cancel Sunday night's show at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Pennsylvania and postpone the show in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday (01May07) to Wednesday (02May07), provided everyone has recovered.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Boy George Kidnapper?
E! reports: Did he really want to hurt him? Boy George was arrested on suspicion of assault and wrongful imprisonment early Saturday morning after his latest muse filed a complaint against him, according to Scotland Yard.

Auden Carlsen, 28, told Britain's Sun tabloid that he "was convinced [he] was going to die" at George's East London home, where the former Culture Club frontman had supposedly invited Carlsen to pose for some photographs.

...After George took photos of Carlsen in some erotic getups, the amateur shutterbug and an unidentified man handcuffed him to a hook on the wall in a bedroom and then, after the second guy left, George whipped out a box of, er, whips and other kinky items, Carlsen related.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Blabbermouth reports: According to Newsday.com, VELVET REVOLVER and ALICE IN CHAINS are scheduled to perform on August 18 at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York. Blur Finally Reunite
FMQB reports: After constant rumors and speculation, it appears Blur is set to reunite with ex-guitarist Graham Coxon. Bassist Alex James told Dotmusic, "We're all heading into the studio together this summer. Graham's coming too. We're gonna see if we've still got it. NIN Use BitTorrent
Blabbermouth reports: NINE INCH NAILS has posted three songs from the band's new "Year Zero" album onto a file-sharing network based on the popular BitTorrent software, which has quickly become the most frequently used method of illegally sharing and downloading large files, especially music and movies. The tracks appeared on a Swedish torrent site called Pirate Bay, which bills itself as the world's largest BitTorrent tracker. The songs are available for fans to either listen to or remix. Zeke Benefit
Blabbermouth reports: ZEKE, SUPERSUCKERS, BOB WAYNE & THE OUTLAW CARNIES and JOE BARTLETT are among the artists that will play a benefit show on May 11 at The Tractor in Seattle to raise money for Jana Paycheck, the wife of ZEKE vocalist Donny Paycheck, who has been battling breast cancer since last September. According to ZEKE, "the bills have become large, so to help us out some friends, the SUPERSUCKERS, BOB WAYNE & THE OUTLAW CARNIES (featuring Andy Gibson of HANK 3, Donny Paycheck and Blind Marky Felchtone of ZEKE), Joe Buck Yourself (of HANK 3) and Clay Bartlett are doing a benefit. Top of Live Earth Down Under Gets Crowded
Contact Music reports: Reformed rockers CROWDED HOUSE have bumped JACK JOHNSON from the headlining spot at Sydney. Australia's Live Earth concert after confirming they'll perform at the eco-friendly fundraiser. Surf rocker Johnson confirmed he'd perform at the Sydney show this July (07) with another reunited Antipodean act, Midnight Oil, last month (Apr07), but he has been forced to step down from headlining. Zola Taylor RIP
Jam! reports: Zola Taylor, who broke gender barriers in the 1950s as a member of The Platters, harmonizing with her male colleagues on hits like "The Great Pretender," has died, her nephew said Tuesday. She was 69. 

Taylor, who later gained attention of a different sort as one of three women who claimed to be pop idol Frankie Lymon's widow, died Monday, said her nephew Alfie Robinson.

punkbands reports: Interesting development as far as the Operation Ivy Energy reissue goes. After announcing the re-issue on Rancid Records with a release date of May 1st, it looks like there is trouble afoot... 

An email recieved today from Interpunk states: "you're receiving this e-mail if you've pre-ordered the upcoming Operation Ivy reissue of Energy from Interpunk.com. Due to issues involving the licensing of the album, the release has been delayed. It will be released by Epitaph with a likely street date of July 10. Alice Cooper Gets Hook'd
Sleazeroxx.com reports: We can finally confirm the new Alice Cooper guitarist is Jason Hook. Jason has worked with many acts over the years including Lee Aaron, Rhino Party, Mandy Moore, Stephen Pearcy (Ratt), and Hilary Duff.
