Billy Ray Cyrus Motley Hole Snot Supergroup
Country star Billy Ray Cyrus is going rock with a new band called Brother Clyde that also features Samantha Maloney (Motley Crόe, Hole, Eagles of Death Metal) and guitarist Jamie Miller (theSTART, Snot).

Here is the announcement: The band will be releasing their self-titled debut album on August 10th via Buena Vista Records/Fontana. The first single from Brother Clyde, "Lately," is available now on iTunes.

"I always loved rock 'n' roll," Cyrus says. "That was a heavy part of what I was as a young juvenile delinquent. I tried from my first album to rock like any other Southern rock band." Fate – and country music immortality – intervened, but for Brother Clyde, he followed an oh-so-rock-and-roll dictum: No rules. No limits. No preconceptions.

Incubus Singer Returns with Hippie Porn?
Antiquiet reports that Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd will be making a return next week, but this time as a solo artist.

Like Antiquiet we had not yet heard even a whisper of the fact that Boyd was releasing an album (called "The Wild Trapeze") next week, but apparently Trever Trent at LA radio station 98.7FM knew all about it.

Antiquiet did a little digging after hearing that and found a video for the first single, which they describe as "3.5 minutes of hippie porn called Runaway Train". Check out the video - here and judge for yourself.

It looks like Hatesphere have finally replaced their departed vocalist Jonathan Albrechtsen, but at the same time they lost another member, but are temporarily replacing him with a former member. Confused with this game of musical chairs? We'll let the band clear things up:

After several auditions in Copenhagen, Hatesphere is now ready to announce their new frontman, Esben "Esse" Hansen and a string of German and Austrian live dates.

Esben "Esse" Hansen, who also sings in As We Fight, immediately joins the ranks of Hatesphere. However, bassist Mixen Lindberg has chosen to leave Hatesphere for other projects. Mixen is temporarily replaced by the old Hatesphere-member Mikael Ehlert until the end of 2010.

Exhumed Reunite
Exhumed have reformed after a five–year hiatus and will begin recording a new full-length album this fall with an eye towards a spring 2011 release.

Exhumed 2010 will feature founding and original member Matt Harvey on guitars and vocals along with returning members Leon DelMuerte (Phobia, Murder Construct) on bass and vocals, Wes Caley (Uphill Battle) on guitars, and Danny Walker (Intronaut, Murder Construct, Uphill Battle) on drums.

Harvey recently commented on the reformation; "I'm totally f***en psyched to be making music with Exhumed again, it's been way too long. After a few years off and away from the Death Metal scene, I feel rejuvenated and ready to hack, maim and kill once again. I wanted this to be a continuation of what the band was doing and was on its way to doing, not a reunion or some weird nostalgia thing, so the first person I started talking about this with was our guitarist Wes (Caley), who has been writing some great songs for the new album, and once he got the ball rolling with Leon (DelMuerte, bass, vocals) and Danny (Walker, drums), it come together quickly and easier than ever!"

"We've been writing for the past few months, me in Hawaii, and the other guys in California, and now that I'm back on the mainland we'll be getting things together for album number four. We're all really excited about the new s***, it should combine the directness of 'Slaughtercult' and the intricacy of 'Anatomy...' so it's definitely gonna be our strongest record yet." - more on this story

Singled Out: Haste The Day's The Un-manifest
Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today Dave Krysl and Scotty Whelan from Haste The Day tell us about "The Un-manifest" from their brand new album "Attack of the Wolf King". We now turn it over to Dave and Scotty for the story (They'll be back later with two more song stories):

This song came about because we were having a bit of writer's block one night trying to come up with ideas for a song. We were watching random videos online and all of a sudden we had a spark of inspiration. We just started jamming a riff on a guitar and next thing we know we are writing a super heavy song. We finished the song and took a break to eat some food. While we were eating we were joking about how the song is so heavy that it will probably destroy everyone's CD player when they try and listen to the record. Ironically, we go back to Stephen's house to put the finishing touches on the song on his computer, and the song essentially froze the computer and shut the whole thing down (not being saved). We had been joking the whole time about how that was going to happen to people listening to the record, and then it happened to us. The song literally unmanifested itself.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album - right here!
