Ask Dr. Ozzy Osbourne
Forget Dr. Drew, nobody really takes Dr. Phil seriously, but will they listen to the Prince of Darkness and the Wisdom of Ozz? We will find out when Ozzy Osbourne kicks off his medical advice column in the Sunday Times magazine.

What qualifies the Godfather of heavy metal to give medical advice? We'll let Ozzy explain: "By all accounts I'm a medical miracle. When I die, I should donate my body to the Natural History Museum," Ozzy told the Sunday Times "It's all very well going on a bender for a couple of days – but mine went on for 40 years. At one point I was knocking back four bottles of cognac a day, blacking out, coming to again, and carrying on.

"While filming TV show The Osbournes I was also shoving 42 types of prescription medication down my neck, morning, noon and night – and that was before all the dope I was smoking in my 'safe' room, away from the cameras." - Read a lot more in the preview article here

Singled Out: Eyes Set To Kill's Broken Frames
Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today Alexia Rodriguez from Eyes Set To Kill tells us about the title track from their brand new album "Broken Frames," which hit stores yesterday. Alexia will be back soon with two more stories behind songs on the new album but for now we turn it over to Alexia for today's story:

We titled the album after the single "Broken Frames" because I realized that every song was linked to it in a way. The song "Broken Frames" is about trying to forget about a love that went sour and died but still leaves the memories behind. As we started to write more songs on this record, I started to see that every song is about a memory that I wish I could have changed or just forgotten. We chose this song to be the first single because it represents that theme the best out of all of the songs and I feel like everyone can relate to a song about an x that haunts your memories as easy as a love song.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album - right here!

Cinderella and Jackyl Stars Join Tribute To Fat Chicks
Rufus Fountain, featuring original Jackyl vocalist Ronnie Honeycutt, Cinderella guitarist Jeff LaBar, guitarist Tim Lewis, bassist Hayden James and drummer Shawn Hughes (Naked Beggars, John Corabi) has joined the roster of the upcoming tribute album "WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks."

The five-piece rips through a high-octane version of the AC/DC concert staple "Whole Lotta Rosie," showcasing LaBar's signature guitar tone and Honeycutt's patented Bon Scott rasp.

"Whole Lotta Rosie" tells the true-life tale of an intimate encounter between the late AC/DC singer and a sexual dynamo by the name of Rosie, all 42"-39"-56" and 250+ lbs. of her. Rosie's legendary amplitude provided inspiration not only for the song itself, but also for the large inflatable Rosie that was added to the live AC/DC stage show during the Brian Johnson era. As AC/DC rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young explains in the commentary of the "Live at Donington" DVD (on which the larger-than-life-sized Rosie can be witnessed in all her glory), "We update her every tour now, she comes in new and improved versions. She never gets thinner, she gets bigger! The boobs always get bigger, the butt gets bigger and more tattoos are added. But she still looks sweet and the fans just love her." - more on this story

Mass Reissues
Three albums from German rockers Mass, "Angel Power" and "Swiss Connection", Metal Fighter" and "War Law" will see their North American release on July 13, 2010. Each re-release comes in a digipak with a bonus track and an O-Card. The booklet and inlay are filled with liner notes and rare photos.

When hard rock and heavy metal were on a real roll in the 80's MASS admittedly were merely in the second line in their home country behind the international flagship bands Scorpions and Accept. Nevertheless, they found acknowledgment and fans beyond the German borders. More than 200,000 albums sold in total explain the significance that the quartet MASS from Regensburg enjoyed in the hard 'n' heavy scene for ten years between 1976 and 1986.

Their success has finally been acknowledged appropriately more than two decades later: The most successful LP's of MASS' catalog have now been re-released in a remastered digipak version, enriched with bonus tracks, liner notes and rare photos on CD for the first time under the new banner of SPV/Steamhammer "Rare Classics"

Early Man's Sophomore Album To Arrive At Long Last
It's been five years since Early Man released their full length debut but the wait for a follow-up is almost over. The End Records have set a July 20th release date for their sophomore album, Death Potion.

The Los Angeles and Brooklyn–based band recorded the 12-track album in Seattle, WA at Soundhouse Recording with producer Jack Endino (High on Fire, Skeletonwitch, 3 Inches of Blood).

"There's a lot of angst and urgency that comes out in this record, musically, vocally, lyrically, and creatively," said Early Man vocalist/guitarist Mike Conte. "It's a very raw, honest record which I think sadly has become extremely rare within heavy metal. It means something, it stands for something. I don't like making records just for the sake of making records. For me, the songs have to come from somewhere real artistically and that is very much the case with Death Potion." - more on this story

Attn Musicians: Scholarships For the Los Angeles Music Academy College of Music Are Still Available
Los Angeles Music Academy College of Music has announced merit-based scholarships for all the school's Bass, Drums, Vocal and Guitar Departments are still available; the submission deadline for the Fall 2010 semester is July 5th.

Interested domestic and international students demonstrating exceptional musical talent, ability and enthusiasm can apply now and are evaluated based on essays and transcripts, academic promise, results of the performance audition and letters of recommendation.

"The school offers six levels of scholarships in addition to financial aid for its performance degree and diploma programs," says Tom Aylesbury, President of LA Music Academy. "Amazingly, we've noticed that potential students don't take full advantage of these opportunities which can help significantly lower tuition and financial stress associated with attending high-end colleges. Although the number of scholarship and financial aid applications submitted here is on the rise, a significant amount of scholarship dollars go untapped every semester."
