(antiMusic) Bad Brains have announced a string of West Coast dates in support of their latest effort "Build A Nation," Produced by long time fan, Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys. The album has been billed as a return to form for the band that helped define American Punk and Hardcore music. The four date tour kicks off on Sept 22nd in San Diego. The first proper Bad Brains studio album in over a decade, Build A Nation, was just released to critical acclaim, June 26, 2007 on Megaforce/Oscilloscope Records. The album features all the original members of the group: HR, Darryl Jenifer, Dr. Know and Earl Hudson.
The Bad Brains first video off of Build A Nation has been finished by director and System Of A Down member, Shavo. Shot at Sasquatch Festival and also Portland Oregon by famed cinematographer Danny Hiele (U2, Green Day, Kanye West), the concept caputures and merges punk and reggae. Thus, the main punk video "Give Thanks And Praises" is seen merging into the dub reggae of "Jah Love."
