James Blunt Week: Same Mistake

10/04/07
.
(antiMusic) James Blunt seemed to come out of nowhere a couple years ago to become an international superstar. His highly anticipated new album "All The Lost Souls" is a certified smash, topping charts across the globe last week and debuting at No. 7 here in the US. This week we have a treat for Blunt fans old and new. We asked James to pick some of his favorites songs from the new CD and tell us a bit about each one. Here is James with today's song "Same Mistake":

"Same Mistake" I wrote while I was on the road, and I can't remember exactly when - it was pretty early on, actually. So we've been able to road test that for a while now, and we knew that it went really well - so well that we actually stopped playing it for a while just so we didn't bore ourselves by overplaying it and so hopefully other people didn't hear it too much so when we released it on this album it would be new and fresh to us all. Again, having toured it, we were a bit nervous as to whether or not we'd be able to capture it in the studio, but I think we've done it and that's a really exciting song.
