RED i CLAN Take Eastern Europe By Storm With Leaked CD

04/16/2008
.
(PR) RED i CLAN will release its debut album Killohead on April 29th (Rezzonator). Lead singer and primary songwriter Sor had contemplated rushing the CD to fans early due to a rash of web torrent sites that have leaked Killohead before its intended release date. He ultimately decided against it: "it reminded me of the days of trading pirated tapes way before the 'net thing hit. It feels good to know that people just couldn't wait to share my music."

A Google search of the band reveals many of these torrents are based in Eastern Europe, specifically countries formerly behind the Iron Curtain. As a native of one of these countries, Sor is not surprised to see the abundance of overzealous fans. He explains, "Due to the harsh social conditions before the crash and burn of communism, Eastern Europe has always been friendlier to underground and trend-breaking music than the Britney Spears culture. I'm glad to know RED i CLAN is among the bands people want to hear."

RED i CLAN focuses much of their energy on the creation of a sound that fans agree is brand new. RED i CLAN music is a mash-up of hard rock energy, electronic style and synth beats. Sor asks that anyone who listens to RED i CLAN's music not compare what they hear against the norm. The band's tenet has always been to "take a chance and risk turning some people off rather than tread on what's been done before. Our music is very different by choice. We're intentionally doing something no-one else does to shake things up." - Visit www.rediclan.com for more information and song samples.
