Motley Crue Delay Album to Record New Song - A Top Story This Week

Motley Crue Delay Album to Record New Song was a top story for this week. Here it is again: (antiMusic) Motley Crue have pushed back the release of their new album, 'Saints of Los Angeles,' a week so they could go back into the studio to record a new song for the effort. The "official" reasoning for the move is that the band felt "inspired" by the other bands that are taking part in Crue Fest. A cynic might conclude that they went back to the drawing board to produce a new song with bigger hit potential, as has been known to happen from time to time in rock n roll. The title track from the effort has reached No 10 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart after 3 weeks. Motley bassist Nikki Sixx discussed the new track in a press release, "Before our performance at the press conference, we were firing on all cylinders at sound check just jamming out, and that's when the new idea came. We quickly laid it down and went to the studio to record it, and liked it so much we pushed back the release one week so that we could get it onto the album – it now has 13 tracks. It's the ultimate song to end the record with and begin the new chapter of our career." - more on this story
