Imperial Vipers' Broken Hit

(PR) The first single from the new Imperial Vipers album, 'Broken', has just fallen short of topping the UK rock charts when it reached the number two spot after its first week of release.

"Check This" is the one of the most infectious hard rock tracks you are likely to hear this year - a driving rhythm section overlaid by the powerful and melodic vocals of front man Ash Simmons – one of the defining aspects of the Vipers sound.

The new album 'Broken' has been produced by the legendary Steve Power (Blur, Feeder, Bon Jovi) and will be released on 10th November.

The UK five piece, who will be supporting Fightstar at the Proud Galleries in Camden later this month, formed in 2003 after lead guitarist and songwriter Wevs returned from six months surfing up the east coast of Australia. Arriving back in a cold and wet England, Wevs decided that his love of classic and modern rock n roll was the only thing that could inspire him. He put together a band with old friends and they set out to do things their own way – with a nod to the greats such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Sound Garden but with the punk rock spirit of bands such Guns n Roses, MC5 and The Stooges.

Debut album "Searching:Falling:Silence" established the Imperial Vipers as one of the more exciting underground UK rock acts on the current scene. Critical acclaim and constant touring have seen the band build a fan base and expectation for their follow up album. For the band, Ash Simmons (Vocals), Wevs (Guitars), Corky (Guitars), Andrew Weatherall (Bass) and Scott Cowell (Drums), their time is now….
