LEAF's First Kill

02/05/2009
.
(PR) The aggressive, catchy rock sounds of the Houston-based band, LEAF, (Listen, Escape And Fantasize) are coming to your iPod soon! This energetic and talented quartet is ready to release their new EP, First Kill, independently on March 3.

LEAF's new rock ensemble, consisting of Jason Thumann on vocals, Chris Kubecka on bass, Mike Sutphen on guitar, and Coffee on drums, carries a hurricane's worth of energy with its "music as therapy" mantra.

With production from Mike Major (At The Drive-In, Sparta, Coheed and Cambria) together with the mastering skills of Alan Yoshida (Maroon 5, Aerosmith, Paul McCartney), First Kill is ready to hit the ground running.

The driving pulse of songs like, "Who is it?" and the pounding rhythms and defiant vocals of "Bear Tracks" and "1138", fuse together punk rock, sludge, industrial and melodic rock into an ominous, crunchy guitar sound that will help with that movement, urging the listener to Listen Escape And Fantasize (LEAF).

Fans will be able to take in the full force of the band as they tour Texas, with shows in Beaumont, Houston, and Tomball from late January thru April (dates listed below). First Kill will be available exclusively via iTunes for hardcore fans and newcomers alike.
