The Johnstones have now given their live show, tour diaries, off-stage antics, and videos a permanent home with the release of their DVD 'Get On Board' (Stomp/Warner). With their "be yourself by yourself" ethic front row and centre, 'Get On Board' is a 360 degree assault on the senses.Supporting the release with the 'Get On Board' tour, The Johnstones hit The Opera House on April 30th. With over 500 pre sale tickets already purchased, the live show will highlight the DVDs sold out show at The Mod Club that saw five costume changes and choreographed dance captured by five cameras and recorded and mixed in HD. Also included in 'Get On Board' are an unplugged session at the Gibson showroom, tour diaries flipping through the good, the bad, and the in jail of their life on the road, music videos (including the never seen before 'Gone For A Long Time') and a series of their best viral videos to date. Talk about bonus features! In the last five years The Johnstones have had 6 videos and charted on MuchMusic, sold over 10,000 albums independently, hosted an online TV show and podcast with thousands of subscribers, been featured on shows including Canadian Idol and Degrassi, and have toured North America and the UK with bands like Less Than Jake, Hedley, Gob, and The Mad Caddies.
