| Sex Pistol Was Almost A Stooge08/27/2010.
(Gibson) Former Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones tells contactmusic.com that he came very close to joining Iggy and The Stooges' recent Raw Power tour.
Jones was in the frame to join Iggy Pop on the road after original Stooges member Ron Asheton's death. But when James Williamson, who played on the Raw Power album, wanted to tour, Jones stepped aside. Steve told all to U.S. radio host Eric Blair: "I was going to go on the road with Iggy Pop, but James Williamson wanted to do this album, Raw Power, so you might as well have him, have the real deal doing it, rather than having me try and fumble my way through." - more on this story
