Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant Thanks Blues Legends at Sidewalk of Stars Induction was a top story in July. Here it is again as we recap 2010: Andrew Vaughan of Gibson.com reports that Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant has been honored for his tireless promotion of the blues with a star on a Memphis, TN, sidewalk.This week, Robert Plant was presented with his own star that will be placed on the Orpheum Theater Sidewalk of Stars on Beale Street in Memphis. The Commercial Appeal newspaper in Memphis says the award honors Plant for his tireless efforts to preserve the blues. When presented, Robert Plant acknowledged that a generation of British musicians owes a debt to blues legends like Sonny Boy Williamson, Sleepy John Estes and W.C. Handy. - more on this story
