Punchline Delightfully Pleased

07/30/2010
.
Punchline is back with their new album Delightfully Pleased, which hits stores on August 10th. Here is the announcement: "Delightfully Pleased is a return to the sound that put us on the map," explains singer/guitarist Steve Soboslai. "The album is very upbeat and percussive. There are no downers and every chorus starts on a major chord."

With over 100,000 albums sold and thousands of shows played across the planet, PUNCHLINE delivers Delightfully Pleased as a seasoned unit. Soboslai, bassist Chris Fafalios, and new drummer Cory Muro welcome the return of founding member Paul Menotiades on the new album, while once again working alongside producer Jamie Woolford (The Format, Gin Blossoms).

A limited edition vinyl run of Delightfully Pleased is also set for release, available for pre-order now and as part of special bundle packages. The album will be available from retailers and digital outlets on August 10 from Modern Short Stories—the record label started by Punchline in 2008—in association with TDR Records.

The Delightfully Pleased album release party is set for Friday, August 13 at Club Diesel in Pittsburgh, PA. The band will announce additional US tour dates in the coming weeks.

"The planets aligned to bring together the best Punchline songs, the most talented Punchline members and the best Punchline producer," Soboslai continues. And for that, PUNCHLINE is Delightfully Pleased.
