Stone Temple Pilots Kick Off Vh1's HD Concert Series This Friday

VH1 have announced the lineup of their "Friday Night Alright," concert series, which features a continuing lineup of popular rock and pop concerts from around the world presented in HD every Friday night at 11pm*. The summer schedule kicks off this Friday, May 21 2010 at 11pm* with Stone Temple Pilots and continues every Friday night all summer long. Some of the rock highlights include U2, Bruce Springsteen, Linkin Park, and Vampire Weekend. Jim Shearer, host of VH1's "Top 20 Video Countdown," continues to present the series. The lineup, with additional performances to be announced, is below:
May 21: Stone Temple Pilots: Live from Chicago 2010
May 28: Kanye West: London Live
June 4: VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2009
June 11: U2 = BBC
June 18: Madonna/Usher: Radio One
June 25: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band: London Calling: Live in Hyde Park
July 2: Lady Gaga: MTV Live
July 9: Linkin Park: Road to Revolution
July 16: Usher: London Live
July 23: (To Be Announced)
July 30: Vampire Weekend: from Chicago
August 6: Beyonce: I Am…Yours: Live from Las Vegas
August 13: Mariah Carey: Adventures of Mimi
August 20: Jason Mraz: A Beautiful Mess Live from Earth
