Peter Frampton And Others Come Alive With Treasures For Flood Relief
10/15/2010
.
(Gibson) Peter Frampton, Vince Gill, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Duane Eddy and other notable musicians have donated some of their priceless musical treasures to be auctioned by NASH20. The proceeds will benefit MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief Fund, the Nashville Musicians Association Flood Relief Fund and the Fireman's Fund National Philanthropic Program for grants to Nashville fire and rescue departments. The auctions will take place over the next two months. The flood-damaged instruments being auctioned, including Frampton's Les Paul and Gill's Gibson J-60, are no longer playable, but they represent an opportunity for fans and philanthropists to acquire prized musical heirlooms and souvenirs while also supporting a number of charitable causes. - more on this story
