Aerosmith, Skid Row, Sin City Sinners and L.A. Guns Members Form The Jimmy Crespo Project

09/08/2010
.
Former Aerosmith guitarist Jimmy Crespo has announced the formation of The Jimmy Crespo Project. The band's official Facebook was rolling out the band's line-up early Wednesday morning. According to those postings the group will feature Jimmy Crespo on Lead Guitar, Phil Varone (Formerly of Skid Row & Saigon Kick) on drums, Michael Ellis (Sin City Sinners) on Guitar and Chris VanDahl (Formerly of L.A. Guns) on lead vocals.

Here is the announcement about the group: Jimmy Crespo may be best known as the guitarist who replaced Joe Perry in Aerosmith from 1979 to 1984. Crespo appeared on the "Night In The Ruts" album and co-wrote the majority of songs on 1982's "Rock In A Hard Place", performing almost all the guitar duties on the Lp.

After years of performing with such artists as Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks, Billy Squier, Dee Snider and Lita Ford, Jimmy is ready to return to center stage with his brand new band The Jimmy Crespo Project.

Joined by a group of noted musicians, The Jimmy Crespo Project is preparing to play a 90-minute show featuring classic rock hits and Crespo-era Aerosmith songs you can only hear him play live.

2012 will mark the 30-year anniversary of the release of "Rock In a Hard Place" and for the next two years Jimmy Crespo will let the music do the talkin', playing live shows and releasing an album of original material.
