Cash Cash's new track, "Red Cup (I Fly Solo)" celebrates the single lifeand the partying that comes with it. Featuring cameos from Dancing With the Stars' Lacey Mae Schwimmer and "I'm Awesome" rapper Spose, Cash Cash take the party from your bedroom to your bar stool."When we went back in the studio we knew we had to beat our first single, 'Party In Your Bedroom,'" lead singer Jean Paul Makhlouf says. "We knew we had to take things to the next level."
And that they did. Jean Paul and his bandmates Alex Makhlouf (keyboards), Sam Frisch (guitars, bass, vocals) and Anthony Villacari (drums) took a while to warm up to a collaboration, but it paid off. "At first it was hard, but once we got the juices flowing, the song came together really fast," Jean Paul enthuses. "Having our girl Lacey Schwimmer sing on the song brought the whole theme of the track to life. After Spose laid his rap down, the song felt like a massive party anthem that could be played at every party from college dorms to your bedroom!"
Their choice in beverages may be adult, but Cash Cash are still young at heart. While the band's more mature sound will bring their keytars to the cocktail set, their beats and hooks continue captivating their devoted youth followingand ensures that their fans will grow up with them. "Red Cup" was released in the summer as an exclusive limited edition in Hot Topic stores. A brand new mix of "Red Cup" will be available on Sept. 21 from iTunes and all major digital retailers.
