Pete Townshend Haunted By The Ghost of Les Paul?

(Gibson) Glossynews.com is reporting that Pete Townshend claims to have been visited last year by the ghost of Les Paul, seeking atonement for The Who guitarist's years of smashing guitars. According the website, which admits to not being the most trustworthy of news sources (their slogan is "Slightly better than propaganda, almost as accurate"), Townshend was awakened in a Pittsburgh hotel room last September by "a dark figure sitting in the corner of the room hugging a perfectly gorgeous one-of-a-kind Gibson Les Paul guitar to his chest and shaking his head as if in mourning." Townshend reportedly claimed that the figure looked him in the eye and told him, "You have little respect for the instruments that made you famous. You must atone for your disrespect of the guitar or suffer the remainder of your life." more on this story
