The Day in Rock Digest for 1/18/11: Dan Snierson of EW.com recently spoke with former Guns N' Roses and current Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash. During their chat, Slash was asked how he would feel about the hit Fox television show Glee doing a Guns N' Roses song or themed episode? He replied: "Actually, we got asked about that once already but it got turned down. In the current climate of what's going on in entertainment these days, I try to be more optimistic than negative because it's really easy to get negative about it, but I draw the line at Glee" more

The Black Keys have cancelled shows in Australia, New Zealand and Europe, including the Big Day Out festival, citing exhaustion as the reason on their website. more

Guitarist Moloch of Melechesh will be forced to sit out the first few dates of the band's European tour with Nile, Dew-Scented, Zonaria and Darkrise due to circumstances beyond the group's control. Greg den Hartog will fill in until Moloch is able to rejoin the band on the road. more

Weedeater and Zoroaster will hit the road together late next month for a U.S. tour. more

Archers of Loaf played a surprise set this past weekend at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC. Unannounced, the group opened up for The Love Language and an intrepid audience member captured five songs' worth of video from the set here
