MCA Nashville sent over this good news: Despite a driving rain storm, Josh Turner did not disappoint last night as he reached out to help the students and the schools of Ringgold, GA raise over $150,000 after the community was devastated on April 27 by an EF-4 tornado. All proceeds from “After The Storm: Coming Together Benefit Concert With Josh Turner” will be split evenly between the Ringgold Band and the Ringgold athletic fund.
Turner was able to tour the damaged facilities to see first-hand why he was performing that night. He dedicated his song “The Answer” to the Ringgold residents who lost their lives during the tornado.

But when you can accomplish something of this magnitude as a team in these uncertain times it really shows the true meaning of family. The EF-4 tornado that ripped through downtown Ringgold, GA destroyed about 50% of the town’s businesses and many homes and places of worship. The greatest losses were the nine people that lost their lives as a result of the storm which included two students from Ringgold High School. Ringgold High School and Ringgold Middle School both suffered major damage. Insurance is paying for all the work to repair the structural damage on the schools, but there has been no money to pay for the athletic facilities and equipment and band equipment lost in the storm.
