(NME) Michael Jackson's family have announced plans for a special tribute concert for the late singer. His mother Katherine plus his siblings Marlon, Tito, Jackie and LaToya are to attend a press conference on Monday (July 25) in Beverly Hills at 10am (PST) to reveal details of the show, which is expected to focus on his 1982 'Thriller' album. more

(Jam!) Vanilla Ice has warned Justin Bieber to enjoy his success while he can because his fame won't last. "I mean, I did 'Ice Ice Baby' when I was 16. So I can kind of relate a bit. Sold over a hundred million records. And I had a weekend that lasted about three years, and I didn't know who I was, what's my purpose in life...." And he predicts the same for Bieber, "something else new will come along and he'll be forgotten and he can try to put all the pieces back together, so it's going to be entertaining to watch." more

(Jam!) R&B singer R. Kelly has been released from hospital following emergency throat surgery earlier this week. Kelly's spokesman, Allan Mayer, said it is not yet clear when the singer will be well enough to perform again. more

(Jam!) Celine Dion has reportedly taken legal action to force the closure of a website dedicated to publishing silly pictures of the singer. A message posted on the blog reads, "Celine Dion found our blog, and she didn't like it. We just got a letter from Celine's lawyers that the blog has to be shut down." more

The nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards, airing live from Los Angeles on August 28, have just been announced, and Beyonce's "Run The World (Girls)" is up for three Moonmen: Best Female Video, Best Choreography, and Best Cinematography. Winners are decided by YOU, the viewer, so if you think "Run The World (Girls)" deserves a Moonman, or three, let your voice be heard here

(FMQB) The RIAA has announced its latest Gold and Platinum sales certifications, and reports that the first half of 2011 shows that this year is on pace to outdo all of 2010 in digital single certifications. A record 209 digital single certifications were awarded in the first six months of the year, where 313 were awarded in all of 2010. more
